Cole Carrigg drives in all four runs in 5-4 loss to Cubs Monday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Tue, Jun 16th 12:08am EDT
Cole Carrigg went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk, and four RBI on Monday in the Rockies' 5-4 loss to the Cubs.
Fantasy Impact:
Carrigg almost single-handedly won the game for the Rockies on Monday. He drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth that tied the game at 1-1 and then hit a go-ahead, three-run shot in the eighth which gave the Rockies a 4-2 lead. Since his call-up to the majors on June 9, Carrigg has hit safely in five of his seven games and is batting .259 (7-for-27) with three home runs, six runs batted in, and a 1.000 OPS. It looks like Carrigg is going to get every opportunity to showcase his ability in the Rockies' lineup and definitely is worth a flier in deeper leagues with the way he has broken into the league.
