Payton Tolle allows three runs in loss to Blue Jays
by Bruno Mulé | Red Sox Correspondent | Wed, Jun 17th 9:09am EDT
Payton Tolle took the loss against Toronto on Tuesday after allowing three runs on four hits over five innings. He struck out six and walked two while throwing 69 percent of his pitches for strikes. Two of the four hits he allowed left the yard as solo home runs. Tolle also generated an 11 percent swinging-strike rate and a 29 percent CSW.
Fantasy Impact:
Tolle's four-seam fastball was less effective than usual against right-handed hitters, producing a nine percent swinging-strike rate, though his secondary offerings helped limit the damage. He is lined up for a start against Seattle on Sunday.
