Sam Aldegheri lasts only three innings Wednesday

by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Wed, Jun 17th 11:52pm EDT

Sam Aldegheri allowed six runs on six hits, walked three, and struck out in just three innings as the Angels dropped an 8-1 decision to the Diamondbacks.

Fantasy Impact:

The big blow against Aldegheri came in the second inning when Corbin Carroll belted a grand slam to break the game open. It was his third start of the season and it marked the first time this year he allowed more than two runs in any appearance. The lefthander has now pitched to a 6.75 ERA with a 5:8 K:BB ratio in 12 innings over his three starts while, as a reliever, he has a 1.13 ERA with an 8:3 K:BB ratio in eight frames. Should he get another shot in the rotation, Aldegheri would get the Orioles, at home, on Monday.
