JR Ritchie struggles in early innings Wednesday night

JR Ritchie allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four across five innings in Wednesday's 7-5 loss to the Giants.
Fantasy Impact:
Ritchie was recalled from the minors this past week. He turned in a brilliant effort out of the Braves' bullpen in his first appearance back, going five scoreless innings against the Mets after Spencer Strider (elbow) exited. With Strider now on the shelf for an extended period, Ritchie re-entered the rotation Wednesday night. Things did not get off to a good start for the rookie, as he allowed a run in the first before surrendering four more on three homers in the second. Ritchie did show some moxy, however, settling down to roll off three consecutive shutout frames before leaving the game. Ritchie has shown promise in the bigs this season, but it's been mixed with inconsistency. He's more of a stash for fantasy purposes at the moment.
