Pete Fairbanks notches save Wednesday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Thu, Jun 25th 5:05am EDT
Pete Fairbanks allowed one run on one hit and no walks in the ninth inning of Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Texas Rangers, picking up his 12th save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Fairbanks surrendered a solo shot to Joc Pederson before retiring the next three batters. He has allowed three runs over his last two appearances, but is a perfect 6-for-6 in save opportunities in June. Despite his inconsistencies, he remains the closer and is worth adding if in need of saves. However, fantasy managers should be mindful of his 6.75 ERA on the season.
