David Peterson solid in Cubs debut Saturday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Cubs Correspondent | Sat, Jun 27th 11:16pm EDT
David Peterson gave up two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out two batters across 5.2 innings in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Fantasy Impact:
Peterson was traded to the Chicago Cubs this week after struggling to a 6.09 ERA and 1.65 WHIP across eight starts and 16 appearances with the New York Mets this season. Although he surrendered a leadoff home run to Jackson Chourio in his Cubs debut, he quickly settled in and allowed just one more run the rest of the way. He delivered a quality outing, earning his fourth win of the season. Peterson is scheduled to make his next start on Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
