Kodai Senga allows two runs in relief appearance

Kodai Senga took the loss Sunday against the Phillies after allowing two runs over five innings in his first relief appearance. He entered with the Mets trailing 3-0 and later surrendered a two-run homer to Kyle Schwarber in the seventh after New York had moved ahead 4-3. Senga escaped a sixth-inning jam without allowing a run and retired eight of the final nine batters he faced.
Fantasy Impact:
Senga fell to 0-7 but delivered a much steadier outing after moving to the bullpen. His performance could put him in consideration for a start next weekend in Atlanta, though his role has not yet been determined.
