Zack Wheeler gave up four runs on nine hits and one walk while piling up 10 strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
No one expects anything close to a 10-6 game from a pitching matchup between the likes of Paul Skenes and Zack Wheeler, but that's exactly what happened in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Wheeler entered this outing coming off an impressively dominant month of June, but even though he set a new season high in strikeouts, the ace righty also allowed a season high in hits. Still, he is sporting a stellar 2.36 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 13 starts this year.
