Brady Singer hit with loss versus Orioles Friday
by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Sat, Jul 4th 11:49am EDT
Reds right-hander Brady Singer allowed three runs (two earned) across five innings while taking the loss on Friday against the Orioles.
Fantasy Impact:
Singer wasn't terrible in this one after getting roughed up in his previous start, but he did allow five walks to go along with three hits surrendered and six strikeouts on the night. Unfortunately, he would have had to been nearly perfect to avoid the loss in this one as the Reds mustered just four hits - albeit with six walks - while being shut out in a 3-0 final score. The loss dropped the veteran to 3-8 on the season with a 5.03 ERA through 17 starts. He will either take on the Phillies at home on Thursday or the Cubs at home on Friday, depending on if the club deploys a six-man rotation after the return of ace Hunter Greene on Saturday.
