Shota Imanaga picks up loss Saturday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Cubs Correspondent | Sun, Jul 5th 3:58am EDT

Shota Imanaga allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out eight across 4.2 innings in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact:

Imanaga gave up a leadoff home run to JJ Wetherholt to start the game, but settled down and allowed just an RBI single in the third inning. He showcased his upside in this one, recording eight strikeouts, his most since May 7, when he recorded 10 against the Cincinnati Reds. He owns a 4.28 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 100 strikeouts in 103 innings this season. He'll look to deliver fantasy managers another solid outing on Friday against the Reds.
