Fantasy Impact:
On the same day he was named to the American League All-Star roster as a Legeng Pick, Verlander was quick to announce that the time has come to call it career after this season. The future first-ballot Hall of Famer has made just one start for the Tigers this season due to hip and hamstring injuries, but will technically retire as a 10-time All-Star with a Rookie of the Year, MVP, three AL Cy Young Awards, and two World Series championships under his belt. Fittingly, he will retire with the Tigers, who drafted him second overall in 2004.
