Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer received a series of cortisone shots for his injured thumb last week and was temporarily shut down from his throwing progression. Fortunately, it seems that the future Hall of Famer has responded quickly to treatment and will make a rehab appearance on Wednesday. The aim is for Scherzer to throw at least 60 pitches and proceed from there. He will need at least a couple of rehab outings before returning to Toronto.
