This was the fear for Langeliers and the A's, and he will now officially be shut down for the season. The catcher ends his 2026 campaign with 23 homers and 51 RBI to go along with an .829 OPS. Jonah Heim will likely handle the vast majority of catching opportunities for the A's going forward.
