Griffin Jax allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 across 5.2 innings in Tuesday's 4-1 loss against the Texas Rangers.
Fantasy Impact:
Jax generated 19 swinging strikes and matched a career high with 10 strikeouts on Tuesday. Despite allowing just one earned run, he was charged with the loss as the Tampa Bay Rays failed to provide run support. He finishes July with a 4.39 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 34 strikeouts across 26.2 innings over five starts. His next scheduled outing is on Sunday against the Chicago White Sox.
