Matthew Boyd allowed seven runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two across 5.1 innings in Saturday's 8-4 loss against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact:
Boyd had his worst outing of the season, allowing four home runs, including three to Joshua Baez and one to Blaze Jordan. Through three starts in August, he's allowed 13 earned runs while recording just eight strikeouts across 19 innings. He's someone fantasy managers should consider dropping for now, especially with the lack of strikeouts. His next scheduled start is on Friday against the Seattle Mariners.
