Ranger Suarez allowed four earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over 5 1/3 innings in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Suarez has struggled to miss opposing bats of late, allowing three earned runs or more in four of his last six trips to the mound. The left-hander has battled lapses in command as one of the more unstable arms in the Red Sox rotation for manager Chad Tracy, posting a 3.41 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with a 5-3 record and 9.0 K/9 ratio across 22 starts.
