Drew Rasmussen gives up five runs Wednesday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent |
Drew Rasmussen allowed five earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across five innings in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Rasmussen allowed just one run through the first four innings but ran into trouble in the fifth. He gave up three straight singles and a walk before Alejandro Kirk delivered a two-run RBI single and Kazuma Okamoto followed with an RBI single. Rasmussen was eventually able to escape the inning, but the damage was done. Despite the rough outing, he still owns an impressive 2.74 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 26 strikeouts across 23 innings in August. His next scheduled start is on Monday against the Detroit Tigers.
