With Murphy opting out of his contract, the Red Sox have 48 hours to decide whether they want him on their opening day roster or let him become a free agent. (redsox.mlb.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Murphy will probably catch on with another team if he becomes a free agent but he does not have much fantasy relevance just yet. If Murphy can get regular at bats than he might be worth a look as a fill in for daily lineups or DFS. Until than leave him on the waiver wire.
