His fantasy value is minimal but he might see some starts if he gains the confidence of coach Jeff Banister. He is a Rule 5 pick as well. The others in the competition, other than Griffin, are Dillon Gee, Nick Martinez, Chi Chi Gonzalez, and Eddie Gamboa. The two spots open are due to Tyson Ross being on the shelf until at least May and the apparent minor issue that Andrew Cashner has had with his right biceps.
