Dwight Powell is expected to agree to a three-year, 33 million contract extension with the Mavericks. (Mark Stein on Twitter )

Powell already opted into his contract for the upcoming season, and the reported extension would keep him in Dallas till 2022-2023. He will be locked in as the team’s starting center. Powell averaged 10.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 77 games for the Mavericks last season.
