Terrible shooting night for Monta Ellis

by Dale Redman | Sun, Mar 1st 1:33pm EST

Monta Ellis was off all night as Dallas fell to the Nets, 104-94. Ellis was 4-16 from the field, including 1-5 from behind the arc for a total of 12 points. The guard contributed five assists and three steals in a team-high 38 minutes.

Fantasy Impact:

While his 45 percent field goal shooting, on the season, is on par with his career average, Ellis has struggled mightily the last seven games. Shooting 38 percent while firing 14.0 attempts per game is a recipe for disaster in fantasy leagues. In that seven game span, Ellis is averaging only 14.3 points per game, well below his season average of 19.3 points. Fantasy owners and the Mavericks need Ellis to find his stroke over the final 20 games if they are to have any success in the playoffs.
