James Harden will decline his player option for the 2026-27 season and will instead look to work out a multi-year deal with the Cavaliers. (Shams Charania on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Harden joined the Cavs via trade from the Clippers and helped the team get to the Eastern Conference finals where they were swept by the eventual NBA champions. Harden may not be the player he once was, but he has morphed his role into being a good distributor of the ball and can take command in the regular season. It’s the playoffs where he is largely suspect.
