Kirk Cousins, Redskins unlikely to strike deal

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is "not expected" to sign a long-term deal by Monday's deadline. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Although Cousins and the Redskins are unlikely to agree to terms on a new long-term deal by the expiring July 17 deadline Monday, Schefter is reporting that the walk year signal caller is "open to doing a deal" with the club next offseason. However, if the deadline does, in fact, pass without a signed deal and he plays the upcoming season under the franchise tag, I fully expect for Cousins to test the market. The 49ers are the rumored landing spot for Cousins if the above scenario plays out.
