Jordan Matthews signing with Eagles, should play Week 3 vs. Colts

Free agent wide receiver Jordan Matthews is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles and should play in the team's Week 3 matchup against the Colts, Jordan Shultz of Yahoo Sports reports. In a corresponding move, the team placed wide receiver Mike Wallace on injured reserve. (Jordan Schultz on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Matthews met with the Eagles yesterday, and the match made sense for both sides as long as the receiver's injured hamstring was healthy enough to pass a physical. The Eagles are the team that drafted Matthews, and he knows their offensive system and has a great relationship with quarterback Carson Wentz. How he fits into their offense remains to be seen. During his time in Philadelphia, Matthews operated primarily out of the slot, which is also where Nelso Agholor usually lines up. He is too risky to start in fantasy this week, but he is worth a stash in deeper leagues.
