Through ten practices Gainwell has 20 receptions, leading all Eagles’ running backs. He’s followed by Boston Scott (18) and Miles Sanders (15). Gainwell was arguably the best receiving back in the 2021 NFL Draft, catching 51 receptions on 59 targets for 610 yards and three touchdowns in the 2019. The fifth-round selection opted out of the 2020 season, which could have been the reason for his draft stock falling. Gainwell lined up as a receiver for 86 snaps in 2019, where he averaged 12 yards per reception. While the path to fantasy relevance won’t be easy, with the likes of Sanders and Scott ahead of him on the depth chart, the 22 year old is a great dynasty asset and has some redraft upside in PPR leagues.
