Brandon Aiyuk goes for a season-high 89 yards with a score

San Francisco 49ers Wide Receiver Brandon Aiyuk hauled in 6-of-8 targets for 89 yards to go along with a touchdown and a lost fumble in a 31-17 loss to the Cardinals in Week 9.

Fantasy Impact:

This was Aiyuk's biggest game of the year as the targets, catches, and yards were all season highs. San Francisco was trailing 14-0 early in the second quarter and was putting together a solid drive before Aiyuk committed a costly fumble. He soared for a beautiful leaping grab, hitting the turf untouched, before getting back up and having the ball knocked out. It was a tough break for the second year receiver but it was encouraging that he stayed in the game afterwards and Jimmy Garoppolo kept targeting him. He came up with a score, his second of the year, in the fourth quarter after the game was well in hand. Aiyuk has gone for 45 and 89 yards the last two games and appears to be picking up some momentum in the Niners' passing attack. He's worth rostering in deeper leagues wherever he's been dropped.
