Ben Roethlisberger

Strong Start for Ben Roethlisberger

by Sean Dwyer | Sun, Aug 23rd 9:51pm EDT

So far, so good for Ben Roethlisberger. During his limited role thus far, Big Ben has completed 14/17 passes for 159 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs through two preseason games. As strong as he was, the Pittsburgh offensive line took a step backwards against the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury that will likely require surgery for pro-bowl center, Maurkice Pouncey. While this is a very unfortunate injury, Roethlisberger’s fantasy projections should remain the same. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

After finishing 5th overall for fantasy QBs in 2014, Ben Roethlisberger’s expectations are as high as they’ve ever been for the 2015 season. Since the addition of OC Todd Haley in 2012, Big Ben’s passing attempts have consistently increased each year and have reached career highs in 2013 (584) and 2014 (608). The Pittsburgh Steelers have also continued to add young talent at WR, which should only help Roethlisberger’s passing numbers. Another top 5 finish would be difficult, but it’s certainly possible.
