Daniel Jones has been named the Colts starting QB heading into the 2025 season. (Tom Pelissero on X)
Fantasy Impact:
It was quite the camp battle between Jones and Anthony Richardson, and Jones has won out. Richardson got the first crack at the starting job, but was almost instantly injured in his first preseason action. Jones was next man up. Jones hasn’t been stellar this preseason, but his experience, similar rushing upside to Richardson, and availability are likely major factors in him being named starter. This should be seen as good news for the likes of Josh Downs, Michael Pittman, and Tyler Warren. Jonathan Taylor may see a few more dump offs, but his stock should remain about the same.
