Omarion Hampton (ankle) expected to be out 4+ weeks

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton, who is currently on injured reserve (IR) due to an ankle injury, is expected to miss more than the minimum four weeks, though it is not season-ending. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

While Hampton is eligible to return to action ahead of the Chargers' Week 10 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he is not expected to be elevated from IR by then. The Chargers have a bye week in Week 12, which offers a natural spot for the rookie to return. However, the Chargers are expected to be in the trade market for a running back and have been active participants, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, so Hampton's workload could be different upon his return.
