Marcus Mariota to make seventh start of season Sunday

Daniels has been ruled out with an elbow injury for Sunday's contest against the rival Giants, giving Mariota his seventh start of the season in the process. The veteran has appeared in nine games this season, completing 62.9% of his passes for 1,389 yards and nine touchdowns against seven interceptions. It's possible Mariota could start the team's remaining four games as the prudent, long-term move for the Commanders would be to sit Daniels out for the remainder of the season.
