Miles Sanders
(at NO)
Miles Sanders only totaled 11 carries for 42 yards with a lost fumble. His 1st carry did not come until 6:47 in the second quarter as the Eagles deployed an extremely pass-heavy approach.
Sanders was vultured at the goal line on Jalen Hurts' 3rd rushing TD -- Sanders saw the two carries before Hurts' third score at the goal line. The Eagles RB1 still out-carried Kenneth Gainwell (3 carries for 5 yards, 2 targets) but caught his only target for -13 yards. He also split routes with Gainwell (19 vs. 18). Gainwell played a season-high in snaps (40%). Games like this can sometimes happen for Sanders, if and when the Eagles decide they want to win through the air with their stud WRs. There's also a case to be made that the coaching staff is trying to boost Hurts' numbers so he can win the MVP. But a potential shoulder injury for Hurts might limit his rushing, which would likely increase Sanders' fantasy output and touchdown equity. |
