Fantasy Football Player Notes

2020 Rest of Season Rankings
Myles Gaskin Note
Myles Gaskin photo 49. Myles Gaskin (at BUF)
Gaskin continues to be the back to roster in Miami, dominating both the snaps and touches. Jordan Howard has scored a touchdown in each of the Dolphins' first three games despite averaging less than a yard per carry, and his presence at the goal-line certainly caps Gaskin's upside. But Gaskin should have a fairly high floor going forward given his volume and can be started as a Flex option most weeks.

Jordan Howard Note

Howard has scored a touchdown in each of his first three games, but he only garners touches around the goal-line and nowhere else. A touchdown-or-bust option with zero yardage upside is hardly a desirable commodity in fantasy circles, and managers should leave him to the waiver wire.

Matt Breida Note

Although Jordan Howard fell flat in Week 1, it was Myles Gaskin, and not Breida, who was the beneficiary. Breida should get more work in the future, but for now, there's no way you can consider starting him, and he doesn't need to be rostered. If somehow he establishes the lead role for Miami, then he'll become a prime waiver-wire add. But that seems unlikely for now.

Lynn Bowden Jr. Note

Bowden Jr. was traded to the Dolphins on September 5th. The Raiders signing of Theo Riddick was, in hindsight, a sign that Bowden may have been struggling to pick up the offense. It's unclear what his role will be with the Dolphins, but it's unlikely that he'll be fantasy relevant in 2020.
