Craig Anderson got into the win column for the first time this season, turning away 19 of 21 shots and backstopping the Senators to a 4-2 win on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: The result itself was a shock, but maybe the most puzzling figure of the night was that the Lightning only managed to direct 21 shots on goal against this Ottawa team. Anderson isn't complaining though, as his record improves to 1-2. That being said, his ratios continue to be weak with a .882 save percentage and 3.71 goals against average.

Dumoulin assisted Kris Letang in the second period of the 7-4 victory over Minnesota on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: The defenseman was a sterling +31 on the ice last season but only scored 23 points in 76 games, so playing him depends on your fantasy rules.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his first goal of the season and tacked on an assist in a 4-2 win over the Lightning on Saturday. He provided a well rounded stat-line overall, with a +3 rating, five penalty minutes, two shots, two hits and a block added to the mix as well.

Fantasy Impact: Pageau has always been known more for his energy and penalty killing more than his offensive skills, but he was certainly rewarded on Saturday. However, for a guy that has managed just 0.41 points-per-game in his last five seasons, outbursts like this aren't the norm. You probably shouldn't have him on your fantasy radar.

Tanev assisted Khris Letang in the second period of the 7-4 win over Minnesota.

Fantasy Impact: With two assists in five games and playing on the third line, Tanev is not a good fantasy selection.

Vladislav Namestnikov led the way in a surprising Senators win over Tampa Bay, 4-2. Namestnikov had two goals and added an assist. He also posted a +3 rating and put up three shots, one hit and two blocks in 21:47 (!) of ice-time.

Fantasy Impact: Well now, that was a bit unexpected. It only took the newly acquired Namestnikov two games to lead his team in ice-time and provide a major scoring punch. Quite a contrast from his usage in New York. Namestnikov now has four points (two goals, two assists) in two games with the Sens. Temper your expectations (one of the goals was an empty netter), but he has our attention for now.

Johnson's second-period goal made it 3-1 as the Penguins won 7-4 on Saturday. He also assisted Joseph Blandisi.

Fantasy Impact: Playing on the fourth line (only 7:36 time on ice), Johnson should not be a fantasy pick.

Ovechkin scored at the end of the Caps 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars.

Fantasy Impact: The Captain has four goals in six games, plus one assist.

Kuznetzov's third period goal made it 3-0 in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Dallas.

Fantasy Impact: In the three games since he returned from suspension, Kuzy has three points.

Carlson scored in the second period and helped Evgeny Kuznetzov in the third period as the Caps won 4-1 on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: At ten points in six games (+4), Carlson is a top-scoring defenseman again this season.

Backstrom assisted Evgeny Kuznetzov in the second period as the Caps defeated the Dallas Stars 4-1.

Fantasy Impact: With five points in four games (-1), Backstrom appears headed for another solid season.

Wilson's power-play goal came in the first period of the 4-1 victory on Saturday. He also assisted Alex Ovechkin for an empty-netter at the end of the game.

Fantasy Impact: With four points in the last three games, it looks like Wilson is heating up.

Vrana helped Tom Wilson on the Power Play in the first period of the Caps 4-1 defeat of Dallas.

Fantasy Impact: The speedy winger has four points in six games and is worth a look in fantasy.

Leipsis helped Tom Wilson for a power-play goal that put the Caps on the board in the first period of their 4-1 win on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: Playing on the fourth line, Leipsic is not likely to garner a lot of points in fantasy.

Samsonov blocked 24 of 25 shots in the 4-1 victory over Dallas on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: Having won both of his starts, Samsonov has a 1.00 GAA and .961 save pct. A question for the Caps, given Braden Holtby's struggles, is whether Samsonov will be given more starts.

Dowd helped John Carlson in the second period of the 4-1 victory over Dallas on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: As the fourth-line center, Dowd is not a good selection in fantasy.

Hathaway helped John Carlson in the second period to put the Caps up 2-0 as they defeated the Stars 4-1.

Fantasy Impact: A back-liner with only 11 minutes of ice time, Hathaway is not a fantasy option at this time.

Sammy Blais scored the second St Louis goal of the game versus the Canadians Saturday. He was also called for a minor penalty.

Fantasy Impact: Blais had not been much of a fantasy option in the past, especially for a winger. Keep an eye on him but he can stay off rosters in shallower leagues.

Jay Bouwmeester recorded an assist Saturday versus the Canadians. His assist was the only one on the second Blues score. Bouwmeester was also called for a minor penalty.

Fantasy Impact: His last season with at least 20 points was back in 2013-14. He is not much of a fantasy option anymore unless he regains his old success.

Brent Seabrook lights the lamp

By Douglas Roth

Brent Seabrook scored a powerplay goal in the Blackhawks 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets on Saturday. He had one goal on one SOG in 18:39 of ice-time.

Fantasy Impact: Seabrook showed that he may have lost his legs over the years but he still has a shot. He could continue to be useful because the hawks need him on the powerplay. He should also see a fair amount of ice-time night in and night out. He is a bottom of the roster defensemen in most fantasy league.

Brandon Saad scored his first goal of the season in the Blackhawks 3-2 loss to the Jets on Saturday. He had one goal, one SHG, two PIM and one SOG in 16:06 of ice-time.

Fantasy Impact: Saad may not be a top liner at this stage in his career but he plays on both special team units. He is not worth owning in most leagues but is worth keeping an eye on to see if he can rejuvenate himself.
