According to CSN Baltimore, he has been dealing with multiple injuries and had surgery in September to remove bone spurs from his right shoulder.

Johnson, who was on a minor league contract all of last year, missed his bullpen session on Monday and was scheduled to get an x-ray. MASN reports that his X-rays came back negative and he will be able to get back to practice after the pain subsides.
