McCarthy wants more attempts from run game

by Eric Anderson | Tue, Sep 30th 4:29pm EDT

Packers Coach Mike McCarthy said in a press conference today that he would like to see the Packers rushing attempts get closer to 30 per game. (Wes Hodkiewicz)

Fantasy Impact:

At first glance this may sound like good news for Lacy, but McCarthy also went on to say that James Starks not getting a touch in the Packers Week 4 game was a big mistake on his part and won't happen again. Going forward, fantasy owners can start to expect a bigger role for Starks while Lacy continues to struggle behind terrible O-Line run blocking. Even if this increasingly goes the way of a RBBC, Lacy should continue to see the bulk of the goal line work, where his 5'11" 230 lb. frame remains the team's best bet for punching in close scores on a week-to-week basis.
