Tony Romo

Tony Romo is an MVP candidate

Tony Romo has impressed in every opportunity this year; this week, his four touchdowns led the Cowboys back from 11 points down in the second half. (Dallas Morning News)

Fantasy Impact:

Romo has been truly outstanding this year; his quarterback rating this year of 111.4 is nearly nine points better than his second best yearly total and is second in the NFL to Aaron Rodgers and his 119.3 quarterback rating. He is on pace for 33 touchdowns and nine interceptions this year; a touchdown to interception ratio of 3.6 would better his 2011 and 2013 marks of 3.1, while his 68.8% completion percentage is easily his best mark in a full season. Many see DeMarco Murray as the MVP of the Cowboys, but remember how poorly the Cowboys played without Romo in the lineup; Romo is the key cog in the Cowboys machine this year and is a top MVP candidate with Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers. Romo ranks third in the NFL in TD% at 7.5% and is facing an Eagles defense that ranks second in touchdowns allowed; start Romo and reap the rewards.
