Tony Romo's efforts extend off of the field

by Chris Zolli | Wed, Jan 21st 4:16pm EST

Tony Romo's salary cap hit could be covered by moving his salary to a signing bonus, opening financial space for the Cowboys to sign either Dez Bryant or DeMarco Murray, possibly both. (Dallas Morning News)

Fantasy Impact:

Not only was Romo a metric superstar this year, leading the NFL in QB Rating, Completion Percentage, Yards per Attempt, and TD%, but he also has found ways to help the Cowboys off of the field with decisions like this one. The Patriots see this a lot with Tom Brady's financial manuvering, so it is a good, veteran idea for Romo to do similar. There is not much more for Romo to do better in 2015 than he did in 2014 and keeping Murray and Bryant will only keep the Cowboys with a top-five offense and Romo a top-ten QB going into 2015.
