We are looking at another small slate with six teams on bye and three prime time games. This means that values will be more difficult to come by and that safety is at an all-time premium. You can use these projected ownership rates to assess where the safety is, because if the general consensus is willing to invest their hard-earned money on a player then you can imagine it is at the very least worthy of being on your radar. For GPP contests, these figures can help you establish contrarian plays that might put your lineup over the top is said player goes bonkers. Let’s take a look at what the model shows us.

Quarterback
There isn’t much to like at the position this week, but a trio of quarterbacks all appear about as safe as you can get and for fair prices. Russell Wilson has been shredding value all year and gets a Redskins’ defense that should have trouble slowing him down. My favorite cash game options of the week, however, are Drew Brees at home in the dome and the ever-consistent Dak Prescott who is in one of the easiest matchups in football.

Running Back
Last week, the entire world was on LeSean McCoy and it paid off. This week, the closest thing we have to that is Todd Gurley coming off the bye against a depleted Giants’ defense. He has been game-script proof this season and contributes plenty in the PPR department so don’t hesitate to plug him in for cash games and reap the reward. Beyond him, there are several impressive options including Mark Ingram who has been on an absolute terror since Adrian Peterson was dealt, and Orleans Darkwa, who if you’ll remember, went into the bye week on a hot streak, but still has the backup running back price tag.
Wide Receiver
Don’t be shy about playing the chalk at wide receiver this week because Dez Bryant and Michael Thomas are both spectacular plays. Both playmakers are in top-notch matchups and have a price-point far below what their ability typically warrants. Outside of them, there isn’t much that stands out above the rest. You can find safety in a target hog like Demaryius Thomas, who is also in an easy matchup, or you can shoot for gold with a Tyreek Hill or Julio Jones.
Tight End
With the way this slate is stacking up, I wouldn’t be opposed to using two of the top three tight ends and sticking one in my flex. Each of those options are impressive values, especially Jack Doyle who is coming off a 12 reception performance last week. Jacoby Brissett has been feeding him the ball none stop, and seeing that Houston doesn’t do much in the way of defending tight ends, it looks like we could see another 7+ receptions this week.
Defense
While it nearly always makes sense to save some cash on defense, this is not the weekend to play games. Jacksonville is sitting in what may be the most clear-cut top matchup of the season. They come off the bye against a lousy Bengals offensive line and should rack up a half dozen or more sacks. If you insist on saving money, there are several strong alternative options with Philly welcoming Brock Osweiler and Los Angeles traveling to New York to run right pas their offensive line.
