This week, we’ve got all 32 teams playing and most of your fantasy football seasons are on the line with a playoff game. If you are struggling to make start-sit decisions, take a look at my rankings for standard leagues, PPR, half-PPR or even IDP leagues below. As always, I’ll explain four of the more controversial ones. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to let me know on Twitter.

Russell Wilson (QB #12)
While Wilson may just be the NFL MVP at this point, he isn’t exactly a must-start this weekend. Granted, I am not saying you should go pick up DeShone Kizer or Jimmy Garroppolo to start over him, but if for whatever reason, you are carrying both him and Jameis Winston or Alex Smith, you ought to select the one who isn’t going against what may be the best defense in 15 years. To put into perspective just how great they have been, the other 31 NFL defenses combine to surrender 16.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. The Jags, meanwhile, allow fewer than 10! In fact, they allow just 58% of what a league average defense does, so if we simply apply that to Wilson’s 23.3 fantasy points per game, the product is 13.5 fantasy points per game, which I don’t have to tell you is just not sufficient for a fantasy playoff performance. That is the same as Jacoby Brissett has averaged this year. You wouldn’t play him in an average matchup, nor would you with Blake Bortles, who averages 1.5 fantasy points per game more than Wilson’s implied projection.
Rex Burkhead (RB #19)
The Patriots have started to give the goal-line carries to Burkhead lately and he now has back to back multi-touchdown games. They get Miami again this week, who let Burkhead go for 17 fantasy points just two weeks ago, but with just a dozen carries, you are relying on those touchdowns. He has reached over 55 total yards just twice all season so to expect that seems a bit irresponsible.
Alfred Morris (RB #11)
We’ve got a guy here who has TWENTY SEVEN carries last week and he isn’t even considered an RB1 somehow by most of the experts. It isn’t like he has been inefficient either. In fact, among running backs with as many carries, Morris is second in football behind Alvin Kamara with 5.4 yards per attempt. Nor does Morris play a particularluy daunting opponent. Quite the contrary, in fact, as the Giants are in the bottom quadrant against running backs this season.
Josh Gordon (WR #14)
It is reasonable to be worried that last week was a mirage and the hype is overblown, but I’ll say that the hype likely hasn’t gone far enough yet. He was terrific last week, but it was against the single best cornerback in football! Casey Heyward went on to say that he and Odell Beckham were his two most challenging matchups this season. Gordon goes up against Green Bay this week, who is on the other side of the spectrum in terms of pass defense. Not only have they been terrible, but now they are banged up too, so it could be even worse, which can only mean Gordon feasting.
