Monday brings us a sizeable nine-game slate of NBA excitement. While the Vegas totals aren’t as high as many nights there are a lot of tight lines with all by one game featuring a favorite of just five points or fewer. The biggest potential for a high-scoring affair comes in Oklahoma City in a matchup between the Pelicans and Thunder, so you’ll want to look at getting a piece of that game, maybe from my “one stud” of the night.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom DvP calculations that combine both season and last five games data along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

One Stud
Russell Westbrook (PG – OKC): $11,100 vs. NO
The choice for the one-stud of the night was an easy one in my opinion. Westbrook has a 50 DraftKings points floor and he should far exceed that mark with one of the best possible matchups for a PG facing the Pelicans. The Pelicans have allowed increased production across the board to opposing PGs points (+30.0%), rebounds (+9.8%), assists (+4.3%) and steals (+44.5%). Westbrook hasn’t produced a triple-double yet this season which could end on Monday night.

Core Plays
Victor Oladipo (PG/SG – IND): $8,200 vs. HOU
Oladipo is coming off a back-to-back double-double on his way to two straight games with at least 50 DraftKings points. He has posted at least 39 DK points in six straight games and is one of the most consistent DFS options night-in and night-out regardless of his opponent. He’ll face a Rockets team on Monday that has allowed a slight increase in points (+8.1%) to opposing SGs this season. It should also be a close, competitive game in Indiana to help maximize Oladipo’s minutes and usage.
Tobias Harris (SF/PF – LAC): $7,200 vs. MIN
Harris is quietly one of the more consistent players in the NBA for fantasy purposes. He has scored at least 15 points in every game this season and is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game. Harris also has the ability to post a spike game here and there as he has topped 40 DK points four times this season. He could be walking into another spike spot on Monday against the Timberwolves who have given up big production to opposing PFs this season allowing an increase in points (+13.1%) and rebounds (+17.2%).
Aaron Gordon (SF/PF – ORL): $6,500 vs. CLE
Using Gordon in cash games can be a little risky but at his current price point and coming off a game with 26 points and eight rebounds on Sunday he could be in play. Gordon also has a decent matchup against the Cavaliers on Monday night who have allowed at least 110 points in eight of nine games this season. Consider him in cash and definitely give him a long look in GPPs.
Ricky Rubio (PG – UTH): $6,000 vs. TOR
The Jazz are expected to be without Donovan Mitchell on Monday night when the Raptors come to town. The matchup isn’t ideal, but neither was Rubio’s matchup on Friday when Mitchell didn’t play against the Grizzlies and he still put up 22 points and 11 assists for 44 DK points. Rubio shot a season-high 17 shots that game and should jack up more attempts than usual on Monday without Mitchell.
Value Plays
Jae Crowder (SF/PF – UTH): $5,300 vs. TOR
Sticking in Utah, we have Crowder. He has been playing some good ball recently scoring at least 15 points in four straight games while playing at least 30 minutes per night. The three-ball has been Crowder’s friend making 13 shots from distance over his last three games. He’ll look to stay hot against a Raptors defense that has surrendered the fourth-highest three-point percentage to opposing SFs this season.
Pascal Siakam (PF – TOR): $4,800 @ UTH
I didn’t imagine having so many players from the Raptors/Jazz game on my recommendation list Monday but that seems to be where the mid-range value lies. Siakam continues to produce almost every night for the Raptors. He has topped 39 DK points in three of his last four games and his one dud still went for almost 20 DK points which is still over four times his current salary. The matchup against the Jazz is my only hesitation but his price is still just too low to ignore.
Tyler Johnson (PG/SG – MIA): $4,500 @ DET
Johnson’s status on this list partially hinges on the availability of Heat starting PG Goran Dragic on Monday night. If Dragic is out, I feel much more secure in Johnson’s minutes and more importantly his shot attempts and assist potential. Johnson has scored at least 11 points in three straight games while posting upwards of 22 DK points in each of those outings. He has a decent matchup against the Pistons who have allowed a slight increase in points and rebounds to opposing PGs this season.
Boban Marjanovic (C – LAC): $4,500 vs. MIN
All of the “Free Boban” cries may have finally been heard as the big man has reached 23 minutes in each of his last two games. Of course, that is all the court time that he needs to put up two straight double-doubles averaging 12.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. I’m likely going for value in my center spot on this slate with either Marjanovic or may even take a shot on Myles Turner or Bam Adebayo (if Hassan Whiteside is ruled out).
