The third Saturday of the year is upon us!
If you’ve been reading this article, or even if you just dropped by today, you know we love Saturday NBA DFS because it gives us a chance to really dive deeply into the game. That’s never been more true than today, which offers us only five games to choose from.
With the smallest Saturday slate so far, this gives a chance to go even deeper onto these rosters and find the plays that will maximize our lineups. It’s a chance to leverage hard work and turn it into success.
And on that note, here is today’s DraftKings lineup advice:

Point Guard
Jrue Holiday (NO): $7,700 @ CHA
Holiday has missed some time this year, and the emergence of Brandon Ingram has certainly cut into his production from last year. With that being said, he is still averaging just under 35 DK points in 34 minutes a game. Today he gets a dream matchup against Charlotte on the second night of a back-to-back. The Hornets are giving up 111.9 points per game, 20th in the league, while New Orleans is scoring 117.4, 5th in the league. With all those minutes for Holiday and points for New Orleans, we can safely expect Jrue to return value on his price tag.

Shooting Guard
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC): $7,100 @ GS
If there is going to be a theme in this article, it’s going to be attacking bad defenses on the second night of a back-to-back. One night after losing an overtime game to Minnesota, Golden State hosts Oklahoma City and Gilgeous-Alexander. SGA comes into the matchup putting up 22.0 points a game to go with 5.9 rebounds a game. Even better is the fact that he is running 36 minutes a game and has six games of 33+ DK points. At this price tag, we could be getting a steal on a player who is at the center of his team’s offense, going up against a tired, porous defense.
Small Forward
Brandon Ingram (SF/PF – NO): $8,000 @ CHA
So far this season, playing Brandon Ingram has been like printing money. In any game in which he plays at least 30 minutes (which excludes only a game against OKC where he was forced to leave early) he has scored at least 22 points. Of those seven games, he has three 50+ DK point performances including one 60+. Even including the OKC game, he is averaging 44.5 SK points per game. He has turned into matchup-proof DFS superstar, and now gets a great matchup against the struggling Hornets D.
Power Forward
Kristaps Porzingis (DAL): $7,500 @ MEM
We’re not in the business of boxscore chasing here, but if we were this would not be a bad boxscore to chase. In 36 minutes against the Knicks last night, Porzingis put up 28 points, 9 rebounds, and the ever valuable 5 blocks for 50.75 DK points. Remarkable, tonight against a high-paced Memphis team, he is even cheaper than he was against the Knicks. There is, of course, some concern about minutes in a back-to-back with him, and I wouldn’t blame you for going Doncic over Prozingis here, but I have a tough time passing on this price tag for a guy averaging just under 40 DK points a game.
Center
Jaxson Hayes (NO): $3,100 @ CHA
This is somewhat of a risky play, but a price tag of $3,100 certainly makes it a lot less risky. Hayes flashed his potential in his debut a couple of weeks ago, but he has quietly stabilized a role in this offense with both Derrick Favors and Zion Williamson out. Over his last three contests, he is averaging 15 minutes and almost 15 DK points. His biggest problem has been fouling, but if the young big man manages to stay out of trouble, he could see increased minutes in the second night of a back-to-back in a high paced game.
Guard
Zach LaVine (CHI): $7,300 vs HOU
Once again, we target the highest totaled game. This time, we are doing so with Lavine. Known as primarily a scorer, LaVine has been getting it done with peripheral stats this year as well. Averaging 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists, his numbers don’t jump off the page, but last game he scored 32 DK points while only scoring 10 real-life points. That establishes a pretty nice floor to go with his 59-point ceiling game against Memphis earlier this year. It just so happens Houston is allowing four more points per game than Memphis is (121.8-117.7), making LaVine a great play in this spot.
Forward
Hamidou Diallo (OKC): $4100 @ GS
Once again, we find ourselves attacking Golden State with a high energy playmaker. In this case, Diallo is not bringing shooting to the table. What he does bring is an average of 10 points, 6 rebounds, and almost 2 steals in 26 minutes per game over his last four games. On Thursday night, Diallo played 32 minutes, second only to the aforementioned SGA. He hasn’t put up less than 20 DK points in any of his last five and provides a ceiling of over 30. Against a tired and beaten down Warriors team, he has the opportunity to run wild and give us a cheap play who fills the boxscore.
Utility
Danuel House Jr. (HOU): $5,200 @ CHI
You didn’t think we were going to go this whole article without a Rockets player, did you? If you’re in the mood to pay up for one of the Rockets top guys, I don’t blame you, but House has been producing at a high enough level that I think he is worth a roster spot. Of course, you want to monitor the starting lineup throughout the day, but if House is starting, he should be in your lineups. His past two games he has played 36 and 39 minutes, putting up an average of 32 DK points over that stretch. In fact, in any game where he plays at least 30 minutes, House is averaging 30+ DK points. If he is in the starting lineup, we can be confident he will be active on the court for our lineup.
