Underdog Fantasy Week 4 Pick ‘Em Values

Underdog Fantasy Week 4 Pick ‘Em Values

Underdog Fantasy. By now, most of you know that Underdog has some incredible season-long best ball tournaments and weekly Battle Royale contests. However, they have another contest that will prove to have tremendous appeal to fantasy managers-their Pick ‘Em game. Simply choose two or more fantasy points, yardage, or reception totals, choose over or under, and lock in your prediction. There is a ton of value to be had here for fantasy managers as we already familiarize ourselves with important information like depth charts, injuries, yards allowed, fantasy points allowed, and more. This gives us a potential competitive advantage when it comes to identifying and tackling potential values. While more than a few totals will appeal to fantasy managers for Week 4 at Underdog, we will briefly discuss four that have more allure than most.

Emmanuel Sanders (WR – BUF): 51.5 receiving yards
Fresh off a 94 receiving yard performance against Washington, Emmanuel Sanders looks like a great pick ’em value at Underdog Fantasy. Sanders is averaging 64.7 yards per game this season and has had 52 or more receiving yards in two of three contests while recording 48 in the other. The 48 yard outing came against the All-Pro cornerback duo of Xavien Howard and Byron Jones. This week he faces off against a Houston Texans team that has just one outing against a team with three fantasy-relevant receivers. In that contest, they allowed 77 plus receiving yards to two of the three receivers while giving up 50 to the other, in Trevor Lawrence‘s first career start. Sanders’ role will continue to grow for the Bills as long as he is healthy and his Week 3 performance signals that he is finally gaining the chemistry with Josh Allen needed to prove to be an over/under value. The veteran receiver is a value up to 59.5 receiving yards. Tap the over for Week 4.
Pick: Over

Jaylen Waddle (WR – MIA): 49.5 receiving yards
Jaylen Waddle has been an impact addition for the Miami Dolphins. He leads the team in targets through three weeks of play and has emerged as current starter Jacoby Brissett‘s favorite target. His average depth of target is among the lowest in the NFL thanks to Brissett, but volume is volume. Waddle saw a team-high 13 targets in Week 3, hauling in 12 of them. He has recorded 48 or more receiving yards in each game this season, with the 48 yard outing coming when Brissett came in cold in relief of an injured Tua Tagovailoa. This week Waddle will face off against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts have allowed five separate receivers to put up 53 or more receiving yards in just three weeks of play. Waddle is going to be fed targets once again in Week 4, and while he may not see 13 again, he should see enough to hit at least 50 receiving yards.
Pick: Over

Cordarrelle Patterson (RB/WR – ATL): 57.5 rushing + receiving yards
Cordarrelle Patterson has been a revelation for the Atlanta Falcons this season. He has chipped in as both a runner and receiver and has made the Falcons distinct lack of talent at both running back and wide receiver easier to deal with. Patterson has seen exactly seven carries in each contest this season. He saw at least five receptions in Week 2 and Week 3 after seeing just two in Week 1. While Patterson has been wildly inconsistent, he has seen 67 or more yards from scrimmage in each game this season. For Week 4, we will be relying on his hands, because he is still a low success rate runner who has maxed out at seven carries per game. However, with Russell Gage out once again this week, Patterson will operate as one of the team’s top three receivers as well as a top two running back. Washington has allowed six different receivers to hit 62 or more receiving yards against them this season. Five of those six have hit 82 receiving yards or more.
Pick: Over

X-Factor

Chuba Hubbard (RB – CAR): 76.5 rushing + receiving yards
Chuba Hubbard is the favorite to get the lead back treatment for the Carolina Panthers Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Hubbard had 79 yards from scrimmage in Week 3 against the Houston Texans after taking over for the injured Christian McCaffrey. He played just 55 percent of the snaps in Week 3 and is expected to be closer to the 65-70 percent range in Week 4, with Royce Freeman seeing some work as well. There is some risk that the Panthers choose to roll with the hot hand, but Hubbard is a gamebreaker who head coach Matt Rhule and offensive coordinator Joe Brady targeted in the 2021 NFL Draft due to their belief in his talent and upside in their system. Hubbard is a bit like Miles Sanders in that he is a low success rate back who can break off a big run at a moment’s notice. Hubbard has track speed but is a football player. His hands could still stand to see some improvement but he saw five targets in Week 3, hauling in three of them for 29 receiving yards. Hubbard should shine and eclipse 77 yards from scrimmage if he gets the requisite volume but the uncertainty of that volume is why we have him listed as an X-Factor value as opposed to the more traditional values we have discussed in recent weeks.
