Michael Conforto: 7.5 Fantasy Points – Higher

It took Conforto a bit to shake the rust off after missing the 2022 season. But, thankfully, he’s dialed in now. According to FanGraphs, in Conforto’s most recent 60 plate appearances, he’s had two doubles, seven homers, 11 runs, 15 RBI, one stolen base, a .417 OBP, .426 ISO and 221 wRC+.

In addition, the left-handed-hitting outfielder has torched righties on the road. In 63 plate appearances against righties on the road this year, Conforto has had seven homers, a .392 OBP, .365 ISO and 180 wRC+. He doesn’t have the easiest matchup tonight, but he can get the better of Freddy Peralta.

Kevin Gausman: 8.0 Strikeouts – Higher

First, Gausman’s strikeout prop stood out relative to his line at sportsbooks. It’s 8.5 strikeouts at DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM Sportsbook. Sure, it is juiced to the under. However, the prop is 7.5 strikeouts at FanDuel Sportsbook and -142 for the over. So, this line has some value since a push is an acceptable outcome for not losing money.

Yet, the matchup and conditions are ideal for Gausman to strike out many hitters tonight. Gausman has 11.57 K/9, a 31.9 K% and 29.5 CSW% in 10 starts this year. He’s also piled up punchouts on the road in recent years. In 235.1 innings on the road since 2021, he’s had 280 strikeouts, 10.71 K/9 and a 29.3 K%. Meanwhile, the Twins strike out a ton against righties, owning a 25.6 K% against them this year. Minnesota’s strikeout rate has also surged to 28.0% in the last 14 days.

Pete Alonso: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher

Alonso has a Charmin-soft matchup at MLB’s hitting paradise. Connor Seabold has coughed up a .313 batting average, .567 SLG, eight doubles and three homers to 78 right-handed batters faced this year. It’s not a tiny sample fluke, either. The righty has yielded a .344 batting average, .603 SLG, 13 doubles and seven homers to 148 righties in his career. Colorado’s lousy bullpen also gives Alonso a chance for a backdoor cover if he doesn’t have over 1.5 bases when Seabold exits.

And, of course, Coors Field is a dreamy venue for hitters. Finally, Alonso crushes righties. He has a .308 ISO in 152 plate appearances against righties this year. And Alonso has had a .250 ISO in 1,099 plate appearances against righties since 2021.

Jorge Soler: 8.5 Fantasy Points – Higher

Soler eviscerates left-handed pitchers. In 284 plate appearances against southpaws since 2021, he’s had a .351 OBP, .355 ISO and 154 wRC+. The veteran right-handed slugger has kicked it up a notch this year. In 47 plate appearances against lefties this year, he’s had eight homers, a .489 OBP, .650 ISO and 300 wRC+.

The matchup isn’t a cupcake. Nevertheless, Reid Detmers has allowed a .318 wOBA to 631 righties in his career. Thus, he hasn’t dominated right-handed batters. So, a lefty-killer like Soler can get the better of him.

Hunter Brown: 6.0 Strikeouts – Higher

Brown is pitching well and faces a foe tonight he pitched well against in his last turn. In nine starts totaling 50.2 innings this year, Brown has had 9.95 K/9, a 26.8 K%, 3.20 ERA and 3.26 xFIP. And in nine starts, he’s struck out five, seven, five, seven, eight, four, three, eight and nine, putting him over 6.0 strikeouts five times, including striking out nine A’s in his last start.

Oakland is a dreamy matchup for the young righty. The A’s have the highest strikeout rate (26.4 K%) against right-handed pitchers this season. Furthermore, they’ve struck out in 26.3% of their plate appearances in the last 14 days. Finally, Brown’s strikeout prop is 5.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM and juiced to the over with lines of -145, -141 and -140.
