DBro’s Top-24 Fantasy Football Draft Running Back Rankings (2024)

With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, it will be Fantasy Football draft season before we know it. Now is the time to start diving into early best balls and sharpening the 2024 fantasy draft rankings sword. As we continue to move through the offseason, my ranks will move as well, but RIGHT NOW, here are my Top 24 running backs for the 2024 fantasy football season.

24. Brian Robinson

In 2023:
- RB14 in fantasy points per opportunity
- RB22 in fantasy points per game
- 22nd in explosive run rate
- 13th in yards after contact per attempt
15.5 touches and 77.9 total yards per game (in games in which he played at least 40% of the snaps)
fifth in yards per route run (minimum 20 targets per Fantasy Points Data)
12th in PFF’s pass-blocking grade

23. Devin Singletary

In Weeks 9-18: 19 touches and 86.6 total yards per game
RB21 in fantasy points per game (as HOU’s starting RB)
In 2023:
- 19th in explosive run rate
- 22nd in missed tackles forced per attempt

Zamir White could be a workhorse RB2

2023 Weeks 15-18

avg 23.3 touches & 114.3 total yards

RB12 in fppg

As the starter among 41 qual RBs:

13th in explosive run rate
6th in yards after contact/attempt
17th in success rate

As the starting RB (among 41 qualifying backs per Fantasy Points Data)

21. D’Andre Swift

In 2023: 17th in explosive run rate
RB24 in fantasy points per game
Among 49 qualifying backs last season (per Fantasy Points Data)
- 40th in yards after contact per attempt
- 30th in missed tackles forced per attempt

20. Josh Jacobs

limited to 13 games played (quad strain in Week 13)
In 2023 (per Fantasy Points Data):
- 12th-highest stuff rate
- 37th in missed tackles forced per attempt
- 44th in yards after contact per attempt

19. Isiah Pacheco

RB14 in fantasy points per game
Without Jerick McKinnon active (four games)
- 20.2 touches and 100.7 total yards per game
- at least 70% of the snaps in three of four games
Overall in 2023:
- 12th in explosive run rate
- 26th in yards after contact per attempt

18. David Montgomery

RB15 in fantasy points per game
second 1,000-yard rushing season of his NFL career
averaged 15 touches and 75.7 total yards after his return in Week 10
In 2023:

14. Aaron Jones

- averaged 21.6 touches and 120.3 total yards
- among 47 qualifying backs
  - eighth in explosive run rate
  - 10th in yards after contact per attempt

13. Joe Mixon

RB11 in fantasy points per game
In 2023:
- eighth in snap share
- third in opportunity share
- seventh in weighted opportunities
- 36th in yards per touch
- 35th in yards created per touch
- 41st in breakaway run rate

James Conner is being criminally underrated AGAIN.

11. James Cook

After Joe Brady took over as the Bills’ OC (Weeks 11-18)
- RB11 in fantasy points per game
- 19.6 touches and 104.3 total yards per game
- 10th in TPRR
- fourth in receiving yards per game
- second in YPRR

10. De’Von Achane

RB5 in fantasy points per game
eight games he played at least 41% of the snaps
- averaged 14.2 touches and 113.8 total yards
