Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Hunter Brown (HOU) at STL
Hunter Brown is a road warrior. According to FanGraphs, in 179 innings on the road since 2023, Brown has had a 3.57 ERA, 3.18 xFIP, 1.22 WHIP, 6.5 BB% and 26.1 K%. The young righty is off to a fast start this year as well.
Brown has had the following stats in three starts spanning 18 innings this year.
- 2.00 ERA
- 3.11 xERA
- 2.53 xFIP
- 2.49 SIERA
- 0.78 WHIP
- One win
- Three quality starts
- 4.6 BB%
- 27.7 K%
- 61.4 GB%
- 13.0 SwStr%
- 27.0 CSW%
- 116 stuff+
- 104 location+
- 116 pitching+
Brown’s matchup against the Cardinals isn’t easy. Still, the Astros are -125, and the game’s total is only 7.5 runs. Brown is the top pitching option on this slate because of his high ceiling, narrowly edging out the next hurler.
Jeffrey Springs (ATH) at CWS
Jeffrey Springs’s pitch modeling is underwhelming this year. Yet, the lefty has missed bats and tallied strikeouts through three starts, totaling 15 innings. The southpaw has a 23.5 K%, 13.1 SwStr% and 27.2 CSW% in 2025.
Springs has a mouthwatering matchup and favorable betting info, providing a DFS-friendly outlook tonight. Chicago’s projected starting lineup has six batters with a 95 wRC+ or lower against southpaws since 2023 or debuting, four with a 78 wRC+ or lower and three with a 60 wRC+ or lower. Finally, the Athletics are -165, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs.
Tylor Megill (NYM) at MIN
Tylor Megill has thrived through three starts this year. In three starts spanning 14.1 innings in 2025, Megill has a 0.63 ERA, 3.06 xERA, 3.49 xFIP, 3.64 SIERA and 1.26 WHIP. As the gap between his ERA and ERA estimators suggests, he’s dramatically outkicked his peripherals. Nevertheless, his ERA estimators are rock-solid.
The righty also has a 27.4 K%, 12.0 SwStr%, 27.7 CSW%, 116 stuff+, 97 location+ and 112 pitching+. Megill has below-average control, which makes him a volatile and risky option against the Twins. However, the Mets are -120, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs. Thus, Megill is an intriguing pivot in GPPs from Springs, or an excellent pick to pair with Springs for an affordable duo at DraftKings.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Yusei Kikuchi has stumbled out of the gates with the Angels. In three starts this season, he has a 5.00 ERA, 4.14 xERA, 4.38 xFIP and 4.30 SIERA. Kikuchi has also coughed up four homers and struggled to miss bats. The Rangers are a brutal matchup for lefties. Eight of their projected starters have had at least a 107 wRC+ versus lefties since 2023, and three have had at least a 120 wRC+.
- Road (Rate Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 8.0 Runs/ATH -165
Sean Burke‘s 19 innings of a 1.42 ERA with the Chicago White Sox looked like a fluke then, and his 6.08 ERA, 8.84 xERA, 5.40 xFIP and 4.82 SIERA through three starts this season align better with his struggles in the minor leagues. The 25-year-old righty’s struggles will unlikely be resolved tonight against the Athletics. As a result, the A’s are an appealing stack tonight.
