Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Wednesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Logan Webb (SF) vs. MIL
Logan Webb is off to an excellent start to his 2025, and he’s a monster at home. According to FanGraphs, in 220.1 innings at home since 2023, Webb has had a 2.45 ERA, 2.84 xFIP, 0.99 WHIP, 3.7 BB%, 22.3 K% and 63.3 GB%.
San Francisco’s ace has a favorable matchup and rock-solid betting info tonight. The Brewers are 19th in wRC+ (102) with a 21.3 K% versus righties and tied for 10th in wRC+ (96) with a 21.9 K% on the road this season. So, the Giants are -140, and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.0 runs.
Michael Lorenzen (KC) vs. COL
Michael Lorenzen is approximately an average pitcher and closer to just a guy (JAG) than a high-end starter. Lorenzen has had the following stats in four starts spanning 21.2 innings this year.
- 4.57 ERA
- 4.30 xERA
- 4.11 xFIP
- 4.26 SIERA
- 1.43 WHIP
- 7.3 BB%
- 17.7 K%
- 45.8 GB%
- 24.9 CSW%
- 93 stuff+
- 106 location+
- 98 pitching+
Lorenzen’s ERA estimators are better than his ERA. Nevertheless, they’re uninspiring.
Lorenzen’s matchup and the betting info are tantalizing, though. The Rockies are 29th in wRC+ (67) with a 30.0 K% versus righties and 30th in wRC+ (48) with a 32.5 K% on the road this year. Thus, the Royals are -200, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs. Lorenzen’s salary at DraftKings is a bargain, making him an appealing, matchup-driven SP2 in all game types.
David Festa (MIN) vs. CWS
David Festa is another matchup-driven suggestion. The White Sox are 28th in wRC+ (72) with a 23.5 K% versus righties and 28th in wRC+ (63) with a 25.1 K% on the road in 2025. Festa’s betting info is slightly better than Lorenzen’s, too. The Twins are -240, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.
In two starts totaling nine innings this year, Festa has allowed one unearned run on eight hits, two walks and two hit batters with 10 strikeouts. The 25-year-old righty has a 12.1 SwStr% but just a 13.6 CStr%, resulting in a 25.7 CSW%. Festa’s pitch modeling is intriguing. He has 97 stuff+, 108 location+ and 108 pitching+ this year.
Unfortunately, Festa doesn’t eat innings. As a result, he has only one quality start in 15 starts for the Twins since reaching the Majors. Thus, Festa isn’t an appealing pick on FanDuel, but he’s a viable SP2 in GPPs on DraftKings.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Kumar Rocker has struggled out of the gates this year. In four starts spanning 18.1 innings, he’s had a 6.38 ERA, 5.11 xERA, 3.83 xFIP, 3.92 SIERA and 1.47 WHIP. Rocker’s ERA estimators say the youngster has been unlucky, but his 5.11 xERA is also ugly. Moreover, even with a decent cup of coffee last season, Rocker has yielded a .357 wOBA to lefties and a .308 wOBA to righties since reaching The Show. He’s ill-equipped to navigate the launching pad in West Sacramento.
Righty Bryse Wilson will work as the bulk reliever for the White Sox tonight. He has a 4.50 ERA, 6.38 xERA, 4.50 xFIP, 4.30 SIERA, 1.58 WHIP and 3.00 HR/9. Wilson has allowed a .353 wOBA to lefties and a .318 wOBA to righties since last year. Minnesota’s matchup against Wilson is a plus, and Chicago’s bullpen is also unimpressive. The White Sox have the 12th-highest bullpen ERA this year. So, the Twins have a high-upside but affordable stack.
Core Studs
- In 99 plate appearances this season, Tyler Soderstrom has nine homers, a .343 OBP, .326 ISO, 176 wRC+, .405 wOBA and .406 xwOBA.
- Brent Rooker has had a .338 OBP, .247 ISO and 140 wRC+ against righties since 2023.
- Lawrence Butler is stuffing the stat sheet. In 99 plate appearances this season, Butler has three homers, five stolen bases, 14 runs, six RBIs, a .374 OBP, .163 ISO, 146 wRC+, .363 wOBA and .335 xwOBA.
Value Plays/Punts
- In 17 plate appearances this season, Luke Keaschall has three stolen bases, a .471 OBP, .143 ISO and 189 wRC+.
- In 204 career plate appearances against lefties, Josh Jung has had 13 homers, a .338 OBP, .255 ISO and 146 wRC+.
- Ryan Jeffers is a DraftKings-specific punt since a catcher is required. He’s had a 111 wRC+ against righties since 2023.

Zach Neto: 0.5 Total Bases – Higher (Underdog) (0.8x)
Zach Neto has been unlucky this year. In four games and 14 plate appearances, he’s had two hits, a .154 batting average and a .386 xBA. The young shortstop raked in Triple-A before he was activated from the injured list (IL), producing 14 hits and a .286 batting average in 13 games and 58 plate appearances in Triple-A. Finally, in 185 career plate appearances against lefties, Neto has had 54 hits and a .321 batting average.
Logan Webb: 5.5 Strikeouts – Higher (Sleeper) (1.59x)
Logan Webb: 5.5 Strikeouts – Higher (Underdog)
Webb has turned into a punch-out machine this season. In five starts spanning 30 innings, he’s had 38 strikeouts, 11.40 K/9, a 32.8 K%, 11.5 SwStr% and 31.4 CSW%. His swinging-strike percentage is the second-highest mark in his career, trailing a 12.4 SwStr% in 2021. The veteran righty has cranked up his cutter and slider usage and scaled back his changeup usage. Webb has struck out more than 5.5 batters in three of five starts, including his only start at home this year. He should surpass 5.5 tonight.
Tyler Soderstrom: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher (Sleeper) (1.68x)
Tyler Soderstrom: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher (Underdog)
Soderstrom is a run producer in the heart of the lineup in a breakout campaign. In 23 games and 99 plate appearances this year, Soderstrom has 25 hits, 17 runs, 19 RBIs, a .281 batting average and a .291 xBA. He’s exceeded 1.5 hits plus runs and RBIs in 13 of 23 games this season.
