NFL Dynasty Players to Trade Now

Christian McCaffrey (RB – SF)

Christian McCaffrey is currently being drafted as the RB15 in dynasty startups. I think people are scared of the injury he is coming off of, but CMC has RB1 overall upside when he is on the field. In a recent press conference, the 49ers’ offensive coordinator said that McCaffrey “looks awesome” and that they plan to “get him the ball as much as they can.” I like to view players in dynasty leagues in three-year windows, and McCaffrey has arguably the highest upside of any running back in football. I would trade Jonathan Taylor straight up for CMC, as I recently did in one of my dynasty leagues.”

Ricky Pearsall (WR – SF)

“All day. Every day. Ricky Pearsall. I always preach to invest in talented second-year wide receivers who have flashed big-time upside in their rookie season. I know the flash was brief for Pearsall, but we still got it. In the final two weeks of the regular season, Pearsall finished as the WR7 and WR14 in weekly scoring while seeing a 21.7% target share and 30.4% first-read share and producing 2.84 yards per route run (per Fantasy Points Data). With Brandon Aiyuk‘s availability and effectiveness up in the air for 2025 and Deebo Samuel gone, Pearsall has a clear runway to break out in 2025. I’d give up a late 2025 first-round rookie pick or a 2026 first-round rookie pick for Pearsall. ”

Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL)

“An investment in Isaiah Likely now could pay off handsomely in a year. Likely and fellow Ravens TE Mark Andrews are both in the final years of their contracts. There’s a good chance the Ravens part ways with Andrews, who’s entering his age-30 season, and re-sign Likely, who just turned 25. Even if Baltimore lets Likely walk, he’ll probably have a more prominent role as a full-time player in 2026. In Likely’s first three NFL seasons, he’s averaged 3.4 catches, 50.3 yards, and 0.7 touchdowns in the nine games Andrews has missed. That would work out to 58 catches, 855 yards, and 11 touchdowns over a full season. Not that we’re confidently projecting Likely for that sort of a season when he’s finally decoupled from Andrews, but Likely does offer TE1 upside. If you’re not going to be a realistic title contender, see if you can acquire Likely in exchange for a veteran like Cooper Kupp or Travis Kelce.”
