Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report: Player Updates & Stashes (2025)

Hey friends, welcome to my weekly prospect report at FantasyPros! The goal of this column is to give you the most fantasy relevant prospect information throughout the last week all in one place. The format of this weekly fantasy baseball prospect report will be by level and we will go through players in order of their placing on my latest prospect rankings – released in the pre-season. My next prospect rankings update will be in mid-late May and I may have less content in the following 2-3 weekly reports as I work heavily in the latest iteration of the large prospect update.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

I won’t be hitting every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant throughout the week and will follow up on other notable players post my Top 150 rankings. This article will not focus on any AAAA type players or veterans in the minors who have outlived their prospect status.

Full Top 150 Prospect Rankings:

Note: Rookie status is determined by 130 ABs, or 50 IPs at the Major League level. All stats as of mid-Saturday, 5/18/2025.

MLB Hitters:

  1. C/1B Agustin Ramirez (Marlins)

2024 AA/AAA: .267/.358/.487 | 11.1 BB%, 18.6 K% | 53 XBH, 25 HR, 22 SB

2025 MLB: .263/.322/.575 | 8 BB%, 19.5 K% | 15 XHB, 5 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 5/18 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 91 fContact, 103 fDiscipline, 93 fPower, 130 fSpeed

Comp: Gary Sanchez with speed

Prime Skills: Big time power swing with some sneaky speed, but a questionable hit tool. He’s posted EVs up to 111 in Miami with increased average velos in the low 90s. He hit a bump in AAA with the Yankees, but figured it out in his last 20 AAA games with a .286/.383/.486 slash with 3 bombs and 2 steals.

Player Notes: Agustin Ramirez has been crushing this season for power and is pacing for 30 homers and like 80 XBH at this point in time.

  1. C Dalton Rushing (Dodgers)

2024 AA/AAA: .271/.384/.512 | 12.7 BB%, 20.5 K% | 48 XBH, 26 HR, 2 SB

2025 AAA: .258/.292/.581 | 4.6 BB%, 20 K% | 12 XHB, 4 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 4/9 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 24

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 93 fContact, 121 fDiscipline, 107 fPower, 66 fSpeed

Comp: Daulton Varsho without the baserunning ability

Prime Skills: Stout kid with a quick swing and nice lefty pull power with great plate discipline and an average hit tool. The lack of speed definitely dings his max potential a bit for fantasy purposes, but he has the skills to be a regular starter if the Dodgers can clear the room for him.

Player Notes: Rushing is only playing at catcher, which is a shame for his fantasy value and also for that of Will Smith – but he is off to a hot start through two games played.

MLB Pitchers:

***Zebby Matthews and Mick Abel both got the call and will pitch Sunday.

  1. SP Logan Henderson (Brewers)

2024 CPX/A+/AA/AAA: 81 1/3 IP | 28.1 K-BB%, 15 SwStr%, 31.6 CSW% | 3.32 ERA, 0.91 WHIP

2025 AAA: 30 IP | 25.2 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 30.8 CSW% | 2.40 ERA, 0.97 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 105 fStuff, 106 fControl, 110 fERA

Comp: Spencer Strider-light (dude has some quads) and really ramps up

Prime Skills: Henderson is of slight build (5′ 11″) and has jumped up a couple levels already this season after destroying at low A most of last season. He has excellent command and a nice fastball / changeup combo. The fastball runs 94-96 MPH and the change up is one of the better change ups in the minors.

Player Notes: Tobias Myers is down and Jose Quintana is hurt, after two great starts Henderson could be up for good.

AAA Hitters:

  1. OF Roman Anthony (Red Sox)

2024 AA/AAA: .291/.396/.498 | 14.6 BB%, 23.5 K% | 54 XBH, 18 HR, 21 SB

2025 AAA: .317/.442/.490 | 18.8 BB%, 19.9 K% | 13 XHB, 5 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 10/22 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB

Age: 21

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 98 fContact, 129 fDiscipline, 97 fPower, 117 fSpeed

Comp: Jarred Kelenic with a better eye

Prime Skills: Very good eye with a strong power tool for a young kid who still needs to fill out. He could be a five tool guy, but needs to be more consistent on the base paths for steals to be a big part of his game long term. The Max and 90th percentile EVs actually rate out a little better than Dominguez (112.5 and 108.4 respectively), but he is not nearly aggressive in the zone and might have a little bit of a Lars Nootbaar streak to him.

Player Notes: Roman Anthony continues to keep on hitting, even if it does appear Mayer will be up before him.

  1. OF Emmanuel Rodriguez (Twins)

2024 CPX/A/AA/AAA: .280/.459/.567 | 24.4 BB%, 29.7 K% | 25 XBH, 9 HR, 9 SB (47 games)

2025 AAA: .241/.379/.398 | 18.2 BB%, 37.1 K% | 10 XHB, 3 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 6/25 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Age: 22
ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 93 fContact, 181 fDiscipline, 120 fPower, 95 fSpeed

Comp: Rafael Devers meets Edouard Julien

Prime Skills: Great eye and insane power (114.6 max EV) with a tad of speed mixed in despite being a bigger boy, quick hands though. Like many of these guys, Rodriguez has to work on his hit tool a bit and cut down on the strikeouts. The power and speed potential is ridiculous and Rodriguez for points leagues should be ranked even higher.

Player Notes: Rodriguez is finally starting to heat up after a very slow start to the year following some Spring Training injuries. If he can reign in the Ks, get more aggressive in the zone and stay healthy – he will be a beast.

  1. C / 1B Samuel Basallo (Orioles)

2024 AA/AAA: .278/.341/.449 | 8.6 BB%, 21.1 K% | 44 XBH, 19 HR, 10 SB

2025 AAA: .241/.337/.529 | 12.9 BB%, 22.8 K% | 11 XHB, 7 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 5/20 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Age: 20

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: 93 fContact, 80 fDiscipline, 100 fPower, 84 fSpeed

Comp: Kyle Schwarber with a better hit tool

Prime Skills: Solid plate discipline and great power and young for his level, Bassallo has seen some regression in 2024 on the batted ball data, as he has not been lifting the ball in the air enough to reach his power potential and he’s been dinged in the plate skills category this year seeing a decent increase in swinging strike and K rate, while also seeing an even larger decrease in walk rate. The dude is built for his age with fast hands, but a tight / weird batting stance. He will likely move off the catcher position full-time because of Rutschman.

Player Notes: Basallo’s power is coming into form this season as some of the physicality catches up to the talent – he will only get better as he ages with his profile.

  1. 2B/3B Matt Shaw (Cubs)

2024 AA/AAA: .284/.379/.488 | 11.9 BB%, 18.2 K% | 44 XBH, 21 HR, 31 SB

2025 AAA: .286/.409/.560 | 15.5 BB%, 10 K% | 12 XHB, 6 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 9/26 | 5 XBH, 5 HR, 2 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Debuted

fScores: 95 fContact, 86 fDiscipline, 96 fPower, 168 fSpeed

Comp: Jonathan India with more speed

Prime Skills: Shaw has a solid plate approach that should develop as he gets time in the bigs with above average power and speed. For 2025 fantasy, think of Colt Keith production plus 25 steals or so. He could be one of the better second basemen in the majors sooner, rather than later (if he gets to play there rather than at 3B) and has the power and speed combo to put up some 20/20 type seasons. Shaw works to some good launch angles (14.4 average LA) that should help the bat play up.

Player Notes: Another huge week for Matt Shaw, which leaves us wondering when he will be promoted back to the majors – this has been overdue for at least a week at this point.

  1. OF Colby Thomas (Athletics)

2024 AA/AAA: .277/.342/.563 | 7 BB%, 24.7 K% | 80 XBH, 31 HR, 54 SB

2025 AAA: .298/.366/.550 | 6.8 BB%, 26.7 K% | 22 XHB, 10 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 9/26 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Age: 24

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 95 fContact, 58 fDiscipline, 124 fPower, 106 fSpeed

Comp: Taylor Ward and Adolis Garcia mash

Prime Skills: Thomas has all fields power and does a great job of shooting the ball through the gaps and has an over 27% line drive rate this year. He has an open stance with hands up, loaded pre-pitch. He’s an extra base hit machine and may run into some strikeout issues with a below average hit tool (only 78.4% in zone contact), but he’s aggressive in the zone (near 80% zone swing rate) and runs an optimal batted ball profile with a killer sweet spot percentage.

Player Notes: Thomas has some insane power and after a slow start to the season the last few weeks are getting him back to where he was all of 2024.

  1. OF Justin Crawford (Phillies)

2024 A+/AA: .313/.360/.444 | 6.4 BB%, 18.7 K% | 38 XBH, 9 HR, 42 SB (110 games)

2025 AAA: .317/.380/.422 | 9.5 BB%, 20.7 K% | 13 XHB, 1 HR, 14 SB

This Week: 7/24 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Age: 21

ETA: Mid-Late 2025

fScores: N/A

Comp: Carl Crawford w/ less power (Taller Juan Pierre perhaps?)

Prime Skills: Speed, lightning speed like his dad. The hit tool is developing and the plate skills are improving and now we are getting 10-15 homer power to go along with the rest of the tools.

Player Notes: Crawford has shown less power this season (even though we know there could be 15-20 homer power in the bat), as he is focusing on getting on base to let the wheels play.

  1. SS Cole Young (Mariners)

2024 AA: .271/.369/.390 | 12.1 BB%, 15.8 K% | 36 XBH, 9 HR, 23 SB

2025 AAA: .248/.358/.418 | 10.9 BB%, 13.5 K% | 16 XHB, 4 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 9/24 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

Age: 21

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 95 fContact, 121 fDiscipline, 66 fPower, 110 fSpeed

Comp: Jackson Holliday light meets Geraldo Perdomo skillset

Prime Skills: Young has a good hit tool to go along with great plate skills, especially for a player his age and as a 20-year-old in AA last season. The speed is good, but not great. He has quick hands and is starting to hit the ball in the air more as he moves up each level. He’s going to be a winner in points leagues.

Player Notes: Young has always had an advanced plate approach and hit tool, but the big question is if he would be able to cause enough damage with the bat to be a fantasy contributor instead of just an accent guy – he’s doing that the last couple of weeks.

  1. 1B Deyvison De Los Santos (Marlins)

2024 AA/AAA: .294/.343/.571 | 5.8 BB%, 24.7 K% | 67 XBH, 40 HR, 1 SB

2025 AAA: .250/.317/.399 | 9.1 BB%, 30.5 K% | 11 XBH, 5 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 4/15 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Mid 2025

fScores: 93 fContact, 45 fDiscipline, 108 fPower, 71 fSpeed

Comp: Cristian Encarnacion-Strand

Prime Skills: Big time power potential with an improved contact rate and decrease in strikeouts in 2024. De Los Santos has rocked a 116 max EV (better than Mayo) and had about a 92 average EV in AAA in 2024.

Player Notes: I’m a little surprised de los Santos hasn’t been called up yet, but he is still very young considering the power numbers he put up last year and it’s likely better for his development to improve the plate approach at AAA before coming up.

OF Carson McCusker (Twins):

Season: .350/.412/.650 | 8.4 BB% / 29.9 K% | 21 XBH, 10 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 10/24 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Notes: McCusker is not one I would traditionally write into these articles since he’s almost 27-years-old, but the huge 6′ 8″ OF didn’t debut in the minors until 2023 and has been good every step of the way with a near 95 average EV on the season. McCusker made this list for the second consecutive week, while also getting the call to the majors after the injury to Byron Buxton.

C Anthony Seigler (Brewers):

Season (AAA): .281/.428/.518 | 19.3 BB% / 17.9 K% | 12 XBH, 6 HR, 10 SB

This Week: 8/17 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB

Notes: This guy came over from the Yankees in the Devin Williams deal as a completely under the radar piece and he might be the best guy the Brewers got in the trade!

OF Andrew Pintar (Marlins):

Season (AAA): .344/.396/.445 | 6.4 BB% / 30 K% | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 11 SB

This Week: 12/24 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Pintar is striking out a lot this year, but I like him long term as a nice super utility player in the Jon Berti mold.

MI Hao-Yu Lee (Tigers):

Season (AAA): .255/.339/.399 | 10.9 BB% / 19.5 K% | 13 XBH, 3 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 10/25 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Notes: Hao-Yu Lee has a nice hit tool and with the crowd the Tigers have, he may end up in a super utility role as a very solid player.

SS/3B Shay Whitcomb (Astros):

Season (AAA): .257/.342/.569 | 10.5 BB% / 24.2 K% | 26 XBH, 13 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 7/24 | 5 XBH, 5 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Whitcomb had a very strong first couple weeks of Spring (I thought he looked great in my looks), but finished terribly and didn’t make the roster. He could definitely be a useful fantasy piece based on his tools in the Dylan Moore type mold if he can make enough contact.

SS Ryan Ritter (Rockies):

Season (AAA): .239/.379/.465 | 15.9 BB% / 22.7 K% | 15 XBH, 8 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 7/18 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Ritter could get swapped for Amador at some point if Amador continues to struggle.

AAA Pitchers:

  1. SP Bubba Chandler (Pirates)

2024 AA/AAA: 119 2/3 IP | 22.3 K-BB%, 13.6 SwStr%, 29.5 CSW% | 3.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.40 WHIP

Age: 22

ETA: Early/Mid 2025

fScores: 106 fStuff, 95 fControl, 109 fERA

Comp: Luis Gil with a Zach Wheeler slider

Prime Skills: Big fastball and slider guy, known as a dual sport athlete who is not finally focusing on baseball rather than football. A lot of upside here as he has never been focused only on baseball until a couple years ago; he had committed to Clemson to play QB. He throws 97-99 MPH with a 12/6 killer vertical slider and a sick change up with nice fade that tunnels well and against his other two pitches.

Player Notes: After rumors Chandler would be coming up soon, now we are seeing rumors the Pirates might trade Paul Skenes? What is going on in Pittsburgh?

  1. SP Carson Whisenhunt (Giants)

2024 AAA: 109 2/3 IP | 17.1 K-BB%, 15.3 SwStr%, 29.5 CSW% | 5.17 ERA, 1.58 WHIP

2025 AAA: 44 IP | 23.2 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 3.48 ERA, 1.09 WHIP

This Week: 7 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.43 WHIP

Age: 23

ETA: Early 2025

fScores: 103 fStuff, 90 fControl, 108 fERA

Comp: A plus version of Braxton Garrett or lefty Brandon Pfaadt

Prime Skills: He has a super slurvy-like curve and possibly the best change up in the minors, but he’s playing these against a below average fastball. Whisenhunt missed basically all of the second half in 2023 and was thrown to the wolves in the PCL in 2024, so his damage stats shouldn’t be held too much against him.

Player Notes: Birdsong is entering the rotation for Hicks and it’s important to note Whisenhunt has been putting up a very strong season especially considering he has been pitching in the PCL.

SP Michael McGreevy (Cardinals)

2025 Season (AAA): 38 2/3 IP | 20 K-BB%, 10 SwStr%, 27.5 CSW% | 3.26 ERA, 1.27 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 5 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP

Notes: McGreevy should not be in AAA, he was great for the Cardinals at the end of last season and also had a very nice outing last week in the majors. He hit new velocity highs last week averaging 95 mph on the fastball and is a control artist type pitcher, making the list for the second consecutive week.

SP Cade Cavalli (Nationals)

2025 Season (AAA): 17 2/3 IP | 16.3 K-BB%, 11.9 SwStr%, 26.8 CSW% | 9.35 ERA, 1.96 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 1.75 WHIP

Notes: Cavalli had his best start since returning from injury this week and there’s a good chance we see him in the majors by mid-season.

AA Hitters:

  1. SS Sebastian Walcott (Rangers)

2024 A+/AA: .265/.344/.452 | 10.3 BB%, 25.6 K% | 54 XBH, 11 HR, 27 SB

2025 AA: .239/.339/.401 | 12.1 BB%, 21.8 K% | 13 XBH, 8 HR, 8 SB

This Week: 6/28 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB

Age: 19

ETA: Late 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Fernando Tatis Jr. – light, similar build and swing

Prime Skills: Super raw, a huge 18-year-old kid with power for days. He needs to further develop the hit tool and plate skills, but the tools are there and he debuted at high A as a 17-year-old. We are just now really seeing him come into his own as the second half of the season for him was phenomenal with a .293/.350/.496 slash with 32 XBH and 19 SB coming in his last 58 games.

Notes: Walcott had a bit of a power binge this week. The hit tool still isn’t where we want it, but he is 19-years-old at AA.

  1. 1B Bryce Eldridge (Giants)

2024 A/A+/AA/AAA: .289/.372/.513 | 11.4 BB%, 25.4 K% | 52 XBH, 23 HR, 6 SB

2025 AA: .293/.376/.560 | 10.6 BB%, 27.1 K% | 10 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 7/21 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Age: 20

ETA: Late 2025 (August / September)

fScores: 103 fContact, 99 fDiscipline, 101 fPower, 89 fSpeed

Comp: Taller Matt Olson with more gaps in the hit tool to work on

Prime Skills: Big time power potential at a huge 6′ 7″ 223 lb., but he needs to close the gaps in his swing in order to avoid being over exposed to strikeouts. He’s done a much better job at showing a good eye for walks, but the K rate and swinging strike issues are still existent and even though we don’t have a lot of statcast data (20 BBE), he only had a 76.8 Z-Contact%.

Player Notes: Eldridge must be locked in at AA for a while, I thought he might be up to AAA early in the season after finishing there in 2024.

  1. OF Cole Carrigg (Rockies)

2024 CPX/A+: .283/.359/.491 | 9.7 BB%, 18.9 K% | 47 XBH, 17 HR, 53 SB

2025 AA: .244/.345/.504 | 9.9 BB%, 30.3 K% | 14 XBH, 8 HR, 10 SB

This Week: 3/23 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: N/A

Comp: Jarren Duran as a switch hitter

Prime Skills: Ridiculous power / speed skill set with some insane numbers, but he was older for the levels he played at in 2024 and there are rumors of some maturity issues with him. Statistically he rates pretty above average across the board with superior speed, but the Rockies have a lot of these toolsy OFs and haven’t really been able to develop any of them. The dude is versatile though as a former catcher and has been clocked throwing 102 MPH.

Player Notes: Carrigg only had three hits this week and all were homers, so the power and speed are there this year, but still way too many strikeouts.

  1. OF Colton Ledbetter (Rays)

2024 A+: .273/.339/.484 | 8.1 BB% / 28.3 K%| 45 XBH, 16 HR, 34 SB

2024 AA: .298/.353/.419 | 8.6 BB%, 29.5 K% | 9 XBH, 2 HR, 16 SB

This Week: 10/23 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB

Age: 23

ETA: Mid 2026

fScores: N/A (need AAA statcast data)

Comp: Garrett Mitchell

Prime Skills: Ledbetter was the Rays second round pick in 2023 and has had a good year all around. He should both be in AA right now. He’s a great athlete known for good defense and while there has been a bit too much swing and miss, the ability to do damage is there. There are great tools in this package with some contact and plate skills questions.

Player Notes: Ledbetter is killing it on the bases this year, but I would like to see some power and less strikeouts.

  1. OF Henry Bolte (Athletics)

2024 A+/AA: .267/.368/.466 | 11.2 BB% / 34.7 K% | 55 XBH, 15 HR, 46 SB

2025 AA: .319/.410/.511 | 12 BB% / 26.5 K% | 14 XBH, 5 HR, 4 SB

This Week: 11/25 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB

Age: 21

fScores: N/A

Comp: Righty Nolan Jones

Prime Skills: Bolte put up a decent steals total and some solid power numbers last year, but a high BABIP and high K rate made him look like a small ball version of Nolan Jones in a bad organization, but this year even though the concerns are the same (.406 BABIP in high A), the power is way up and he looks like he could kind of be an actual copycat Nolan Jones where he’s just going to project as a 25/35 type guy with a volatile batting average. Super toolsy though, which is fun.

Player Notes: Bolte is an electric factory as his name suggests, the batting average is inflated by an impossible BABIP, but he keeps doing this at every level despite major holes in his swing that have not yet been exploited by the pitchers he has faced.

  1. 3B Brock Wilken (Brewers)

2024 AA: .200/.314/.365 | 13.3 BB%, 28 K% | 33 XBH, 17 HR, 1 SB

2025 AA: .230/.417/.524 | 22.6 BB%, 25.6 K% | 17 XBH, 10 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 7/23 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Age: 22

ETA: Early 2025

fScores: 80 fContact, 112 fDiscipline, 99 fPower, 71 fSpeed

Comp: Austin Riley w/ a much worse hit tool

Prime Skills: This dude has massive power, but the question is if the hit tool can be average enough to allow him to mash 30-40 homers.

Player Notes: Another big week for Brock Wilken as the power output has been great this season and he appears to be back on track following the horrific head injury from 2024.

3B Dylan Jasso (Yankees):

Season (AA): .284/.338/.507 | 5.5 BB% / 18.6 K% | 15 XBH, 7 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 7/19 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Jasso was one of the more interesting prospects I saw live last year, while young for the level at low A, now he’s continuing his play at a level right for the age.

OF Yohendrick Pinango (Blue Jays):

Season (AA): .350/.458/.608 | 14.6 BB% / 20.1 K% | 16 XBH, 7 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 9/21 | 5 XBH, 4 HR, 2 SB

Notes: He’s up to a near 82% contact rate on the season, which has really boosted his profile from previous seasons.

OF Nick Morabito (Mets):

Season (AAA): .250/.312/.422 | 8.5 BB% / 29.1 K% | 14 XBH, 3 HR, 12 SB

This Week: 10/25 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 5 SB

Notes: Muncy had a rough debut out of camp, but is raking now once he came back to AAA.

OF Abimelic Ortiz (Rangers):

Season (AAA): .269/.359/.470 | 11.1 BB% / 22.2 K% | 15 XBH, 6 HR, 2 SB

This Week: 10/23 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Ortiz was a niche favorite prospect back in 2023 and after a down 2024 looks like he might be back on track.

AA Pitchers:

  1. SP Chase Burns (Reds)

2024 College: 100 IP | 191 Ks, 30 BBs | 2.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP

2025 Season: 30 2/3 IP | 35.3 K-BB%, 18.7 SwStr%, 38.4 CSW% | 2.35 ERA, 0.91 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.40 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: 113 fStuff, 98 fControl, 101 fERA

Comp: Hunter Greene / Dylan Cease mash up

Prime Skills: Insane fastball / slider combo that could be one of the best in baseball. He’s bigger than some of the other guys with this type of fastball / slider combo like Jones and Strider and could also just be a better version of Jared Jones.

Player Notes: Chase Burns is consistently dominant week in and week out, he might have been on this list every week so far this season.

  1. SP Jonah Tong (Mets)

2024 A/A+/AA: 113 IP | 24.1 K-BB%, 14.9 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW% | 3.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

2025 Season: 34 IP | 31.6 K-BB%, 17.3 SwStr%, 34.2 CSW% | 2.12 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

Age: 22

ETA: Mid 2026

fScore: 99 fStuff, 81 fControl, 111 fERA

Comp: Jared Jones light

Prime Skills: Killer IVB on a mid 90s fastball (hitting 95-96 MPH now) and a big curve that drops right in on hitters. He had some big time velo increase this year and we are seeing a decrease in command as he has moved up levels.

Player Notes:

SP Tekoah Roby (Cardinals)

2025 Season: 29 IP | 22.4 K-BB%, 14.4 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 3.10 ERA, 1.07 WHIP

This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 11 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.18 ERA, 0.71 WHIP

Notes: Roby is coming off his best start of the season after a strong spring and has made this last for the second time this year.

SP Braxton Bragg (Orioles)

2025 Season: 33 2/3 IP | 27.6 K-BB%, 15.6 SwStr%, 31.3 CSW% | 0.80 ERA, 0.92 WHIP

This Week: 4 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.80 WHIP

Notes: Bragg has had a very strong season for the Orioles and without statcast data, it’s hard to pin-point the exact gains in his stuff, but he is getting ahead in the count a lot more and this makes his second consecutive week on this list.

SP Mitch Bratt (Rangers)

2025 Season: 36 2/3 IP | 27.7 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr%, 33 CSW% | 2.21 ERA, 1.01 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP

Notes: Bratt has shown elite command all season after struggling in his first run at AA at the end of last season and like Bragg has now made this list for his second consecutive week.

SP Gage Jump (Athletics)

2025 Season: 37 IP | 33.2 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 33.9 CSW% | 1.95 ERA, 0.86 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 6 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

Notes: Jump is a college lefty drafted in the second round in 2024 with a high 90s fastball from the left side with nice ride. He could be a quick riser as the Athletics aren’t super deep at the higher levels with pitching and this is his third consecutive time on this list as he looks to break into my top 100 prospects. This was his first start in AA and he’s been on this list pretty much every week.

SP Brody Hopkins (Rays)

2025 Season (AA): 38 IP | 13.9 K-BB%, 11.3 SwStr%, 28.2 CSW% | 3.76 ERA, 1.37 WHIP

This Week: 9 2/3 IP (2 starts) | 14 Ks, 6 BBs | 1.86 ERA, 1.34 WHIP

Notes: Hopkins has some great stuff, but iffy command.

SP Will Sanders (Cubs)

2025 Season (AA): 39 1/3 IP | 20.3 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 30.8 CSW% | 2.29 ERA, 0.99 WHIP

This Week: 11 IP (2 starts) | 14 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.26 WHIP

Notes: Sanders has a big 94 mph fastball that plays up off his 6’6″ frame with much better command in 2025 than previously.

A+ Hitters:

OF Joseph Sullivan (Astros):

Season: .223/.446/.482 | 22.9 BB% / 30.6 K% | 12 XBH, 8 HR, 17 SB

This Week: 7/18 (6 BBs) | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 4 SB

Notes: Sullivan is a little old for the level being a recent draftee, but he’s been dominating the last couple weeks and is deserving of a call to AA.

3B Jacob Reimer (Mets):

Season: .341/.443/.652 | 12.1 BB% / 20.4 K% | 25 XBH, 7 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 8/22 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Reimer is really breaking out this year, having made this list 3-4 times now.

SS/3B Izaac Pacheco (Tigers):

Season: .299/.396/.545 | 13.2 BB% / 28.6 K% | 12 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 10/19 | 6 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Pacheco is an interesting player who had a very strong season.

SS Jefferson Rojas (Cubs):

Season: .307/.383/.515 | 9.6 BB% / 16.5 K% | 11 XBH, 4 HR, 6 SB

This Week: 10/25 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

Notes: Rojas was a top 150 prospect for me in 2023, but fell off in 2024. He appears to be back in 2025.

OF Gabriel Gonzalez (Twins):

Season: .319/.375/.526 | 7.9 BB% / 13.8 K% | 17 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB

This Week: 9/25 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: I’ve always liked Gabriel Gonzalez with a superior hit tool with good plate skills. He’s showing increased power, especially in the doubles department this season and may finally coming into his own.

SS Kaelen Culpepper (Twins):

Season: .302/.403/.481 | 11.3 BB% / 16.9 K% | 10 XBH, 4 HR, 7 SB

This Week: 9/26 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB

Notes: Kaelen Culpepper is showing a very nice hit tool and eye this season with a little power and speed on the side as the Twins first rounder from last season.

A+ Pitchers:

  1. SP Thomas White (Marlins)

2024 A/A+: 96 IP | 20 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr%, 30.5 CSW% | 2.81 ERA, 1.31 WHIP

Season: 25 IP | 19.4 K-BB%, 18.1 SwStr%, 33 CSW% | 3.24 ERA, 1.32 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.80 WHIP

Age: 20

ETA: Mid 2026

fScore: N/A

Comp: Carlos Rodon / Andrew Heaney mash up

Prime Skills: White is a big 6′ 5″ lefty who I saw live pitching against Quinn Mathews pitch for pitcher earlier in the season. He throws a 95-97 MPH riding fastball with a killer 85-87 MPH changeup and 78-82 MPH slurve. He needs to work on building up innings in 2025.

Player Notes:

  1. SP Trey Yesavage (Blue Jays)

2024 College: 93 1/3 IP | 145 Ks, 32 BBs | 2.03 ERA, 0.87 WHIP

Season: 33 1/3 IP | 37 K-BB%, 21.5 SwStr%, 38.5 CSW% | 2.43 ERA, 0.81 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP

Age: 21

ETA: Late 2025

fScores: N/A

Comp: Righty Kershaw light

Prime Skills: Big righty with a super over-the-top trebuchet like delivery that throws a solid fastball (93-95 MPH), slider and changeup combo.

Player Notes: Yesavage was finally promoted to high A, though he’s likely ready for AA based on the results thus far.

SP Carlos Lagrange (Yankees)

2025 Season: 31 1/3 IP | 35 K-BB%, 17.1 SwStr%, 35.8 CSW% | 3.45 ERA, 0.96 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP

Notes: LaGrange has been one of the best pitchers in the minors this season and should move up in short order as a 22-year-old. He continued to dominate this week, having mad this list 3-4 times at this point.

SP TJ Nichols (Rays)

2025 Season: 32 2/3 IP | 33.3 K-BB%, 16.3 SwStr%, 34.7 CSW% | 3.74 ERA, 1.28 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 12 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP

Notes: Nichols is one of the biggest risers in my latest rankings, this being his third time I believe in my weekly rankings completely out of nowhere.

SP Anderson Brito (Astros)

2025 Season: 22 2/3 IP | 19 K-BB%, 10.7 SwStr%, 27.4 CSW% | 4.37 ERA, 1.32 WHIP

This Week: 5 IP | 12 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

Notes: Brito isn’t really a dude on my radar, but he does strike a ton of dudes out and this was a great performance.

SP Trey Gibson (Orioles)

2025 Season: 29 2/3 IP | 25.8 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 33.1 CSW% | 5.46 ERA, 1.35 WHIP

This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Notes: Gibson has a high 90s fastball that plays well high into the zone against a nice curve that changes the rhythm between swinging under the fastball or over the curve.

SP Jauron Watts-Brown (Blue Jays)

2025 Season: 32 1/3 IP | 32.1 K-BB%, 18.4 SwStr%, 34.5 CSW% | 3.90 ERA, 1.25 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 10 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP

Notes: Watts-Brown is a multi-sport athlete that is seeing a significant improvement in his command this season as a dude who already had very nice stuff, including a couple nasty breakers.

A Hitters:

  1. OF Robert Calaz (Rockies)

2024 CPX/A: .344/.446/.633 | 13.9 BB%, 23.6 K% | 33 XBH, 12 HR, 15 SB (62 games)

This Season: .284/.351/.552 | 9.5 BB%, 25.7 K% | 9 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB

This Week: 6/24 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 19

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Teoscar Hernandez

Prime Skills: Big time power potential who has to combat swing and miss to make it. There are a ton of tools here, but also some massive swing and miss issues. There could be an Emmanuel Rodriguez type profile once he gets rolling at the higher levels, but I hope he can cut the swinging strikes down.

Player Notes: Calaz had a rough start, but has been much better of late this season.

  1. SS / OF Konnor Griffin (Pirates)

2024 CPX: N/A

2025 Season: .324/.373/.547 | 3.9 BB%, 26 K% | 16 XBH, 7 HR, 17 SB

This Week: 12/22 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB

Age: 18

ETA: 2028

fScores: N/A

Comp: Light Fernando Tatis Jr.

Prime Skills: Griffin is a big righty with a good arm as a high school pitcher and he has some massive power upside. The high stance and high and tight hands in his swing reminds me of Fernando Tatis Jr. and like Tatis, he will probably have plenty of swing and miss to go with the damage.

Player Notes: Griffin is killing it and keeps making this list, he’s probably a top 40 player at this point when I complete my re-rankings.

  1. OF Eduardo Quintero (Dodgers)

2024 CPX/A: .285/.419/.394 | 17.1 BB%, 19.4 K% | 19 XBH, 3 HR, 32 SB (83 games)

2025 Season: .320/.423/.586 | 15.4 BB%, 26.3 K% | 17 XBH, 7 HR, 16 SB

This Week: 10/24 (9 BBs) | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 4 SB

Age: 19

ETA: Late 2026

fScore: N/A

Comp: Shades of Wander Franco as an OF with less power and more speed

Prime Skills: Fantastic plate skills and a heck of an athlete. Quintero has a killer hit tool with a knack for barreling the ball and brings a ton of athleticism to the plate.

Player Notes: Quintero made this list for his power last week and for the speed this week, he’s killing it.

  1. OF Brailer Guerrero (Rays)

2024 CPX: .330/.452/.466 | 17.5 BB%, 25.4 K% | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 13 SB

2025 Season: .328/.423/.508 | 14.1 BB%, 25.4 K% | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 6 SB

This Week: 9/26 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB

Age: 19

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Lefty Vlad Guerrero light

Prime Skills: Good sized kid with killer plate skills and showing complete athletic dominance in complex league. He has some solid power potential with a great hit tool, keeping in mind he was playing in Florida Complex (tougher hitting league).

Player Notes: Guerrero had shown a good hit profile and plate skills this season, but the power and speed showed up this week.

  1. OF Yeremy Cabrera (Rangers)

2024 CPX/A: .262/.395/.463 | 15.8 BB%, 23 K% | 27 XBH, 9 HR, 24 SB (72 games)

2025 Season: .219/.349/.295 | 11.9 BB%, 26.2 K% | 6 XBH, 1 HR, 10 SB

This Week: 8/16 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Age: 19

ETA: 2027

fScores: N/A

Comp: Lefty Jackson Chourio

Prime Skills: Quick hands, great load. The dude has power, speed, hit tool and an eye to boot. He’s run into some strikeout issues at AA after putting up some of the most impressive stats in complex league, because his swing is a little long, but he’s still managing to do damage, especially on the base paths and this will act as a nice transition for full season ball next year.

Player Notes: Cabrera finally had a week this season living up to some of the potential he showed last season.

SS Walker Martin (Giants):

Season: .232/.313/.505 | 10.7 BB% / 30.4 K% | 11 XBH, 7 HR, 3 SB

This Week: 7/20 (8 BBs) | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Martin was a pre-season favorite of many prospectors last year and was a dud, but he’s providing what was expected this year.

C Ramon Ramirez (Royals):

Season: .261/.364/.529 | 12.6 BB% / 21.7 K% | 16 XBH, 8 HR, 5 SB

This Week: 5/19 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Ramirez has a good amount of power and is probably the most underrated of the Royals catching prospect crew.

OF George Wolkow (White Sox):

Season: .202/.291/.336 | 9.9 BB% / 30.3 K% | 7 XBH, 4 HR, 13 SB

This Week: 6/22 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB

Notes: Wolkow got to a rough start outside of the nice speed, but this week the power started coming around.

SS Yordany De Los Santos (Pirates):

Season: .222/.286/.429 | 8.6 BB% / 27.9 K% | 14 XBH, 5 HR, 8 SB

This Week: 5/16 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB

Notes: De Los Santos impressed me a ton when I saw him last year in person, so anytime I can pump him – I will. Dude is a tool shed if he can find a hit tool.

A Pitchers:

SP Rayven Antonio (Braves)

2025 Season: 27 1/3 IP | 18.3 K-BB%, 13.1 SwStr%, 23.8 CSW% | 1.98 ERA, 1.06 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP

Notes: Antonio is a bit of an unknown, but he has a nice 95 mph two-seam fastball with glove-side movement that was doing some damage this week.

SP Tzu-Chen Sha (Athletics)

2025 Season: 28 IP | 36.8 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 34.2 CSW% | 1.93 ERA, 0.89 WHIP

This Week: 3 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

Notes: Sha has been a beast so far this season, but he has not been getting deep into games.

SP Wei-En Lin (Athletics)

2025 Season: 33 2/3 IP | 35.9 K-BB%, 16.4 SwStr%, 30.2 CSW% | 3.48 ERA, 0.98 WHIP

This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP

Notes: Why is Lin still in low-A with how dominant he has been? He should move up into Jump’s high A rotation spot.

Rookie League Hitters:

SS Luke Dickerson (Nationals):

Season: N/A

This Week: 5/19 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB

Notes: Dickerson was paid big bucks to sign in the second round with the Nationals last year. This is his second time on the list in two weeks of rookie / complex league.

1B Victor Figueroa (Padres):

Season: N/A

This Week: 11/16 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB

Notes: Figueroa is a 21-year-old, he should be in A ball by next week.

C Rainiel Rodriguez (Cardinals):

Season: N/A

This Week: 7/16 | 4 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB

Notes: Rodriguez dominated DSL last year so much, I thought he had a chance to break up in low A. He should be up soon, despite Josh Kross being at A ball.

SS Yairo Padilla (Cardinals):

Season: N/A

This Week: 6/16 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB (3 triples)

Notes: Padilla is right there with Rodriguez and seem to be pretty tight, I met both of them this Spring and they both seem very advanced for their age in skill and in general maturity for their age.

Rookie League Pitchers:

SP Ethan Dorchies (Brewers)

2025 Season: N/A

This Week: 4 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.25 WHIP

Notes: Big dude with a nice fastball, curve combo drafted out of high school.

SP Stharlin Torres (Reds)

2025 Season: N/A

This Week: 4 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.25 WHIP

Notes: Repeat DSL guy who seems to have figured it out with a mid-90s fastball.
