10 Fantasy Baseball Risers & Fallers (2025)

10 Fantasy Baseball Risers & Fallers (2025)

We have made it through another week of the MLB season. There were some awe-inspiring performances. As usual, there were some great showings and some rough ones to dig into. This weekly fantasy baseball column will help highlight some hot and cold players, risers and fallers. Some players are already rostered in many places. Other players may be widely available in fantasy baseball leagues, making a potential waiver wire claim a possibility.

This week, I will highlight some known and lesser-known players. Let’s see some of the risers and fallers for fantasy baseball Week 11 (6/2-6/8).

Fantasy Baseball Risers & Fallers

Fantasy Baseball Risers

Pete Alonso (1B – NYM)

Pete Alonso had a fantastic week across seven games against the Dodgers and Rockies. He finished the week on a six-game hitting streak for a .400 batting average. Alonso hit five home runs to go with 15 RBI and a 1.452 OPS.

Alonso only struck out 20% of the time while barreling the ball 30.4% of the time with a 52.2% hard-hit rate. Alonso is now hitting .302 on the season with 17 home runs and 63 RBI as he’s back to his fantasy stud self at first base.

Vinnie Pasquantino (1B – KC)

Vinnie Pasquantino continued his solid 2025 season with hits in all six games this past week. He hit .500 with two home runs and seven RBI. Pasquantino only barreled the ball 4.2% of the time, but had a solid 50% hard-hit rate. He also showcased great plate discipline by striking out 7.1% of the time to go with a 93.3% contact rate.

Pasquantino is now hitting .278 on the season with 10 home runs as he’s looking for his first healthy season with the Royals.

Marcus Semien (2B – TEX)

It’s been a rough start to the season for Marcus Semien, but his bat is picking up of late. This past week, Semien hit safely in four out of six games for a .381 batting average. Semien hit two home runs to go with six RBI as he ended the week hitting cleanup for the Rangers.

Over the last 10 games, Semien has hit safely in eight out of 10 games for a .485 average with three home runs. If Semien can keep swinging it like this, he could salvage his 2025 fantasy season.

Jo Adell (OF – LAA)

Jo Adell continues to shine at the plate, and this past week was another big week. Adell hit .316 on the week with four home runs and a stolen base. He barreled the ball 25% of the time with a 56.3% hard-hit rate.

The plate discipline has improved as well, as Adell struck out only 13.6% of the time with an 89% Z-contact. Adell continues to improve at the plate and has made a case to be rostered in all 12-team and deeper leagues.

Adley Rutschman (C – BAL)

It has been a horrible season for Adley Rutschman, but a change in his hitting mechanics has led to some significant improvements. This past week, Adley hit safely in five out of six games for a .417 batting average.

Rutschman hit two home runs to go with a 1.190 OPS. He barreled the ball 14.3% of the time with a 47.6% hard-hit rate while walking and striking out 11.1% of the time. The mechanical change is looking great for Rutschman, and a big finish to the season could be in store for him.

Fantasy Baseball Fallers

Marcell Ozuna (UTIL – ATL)

Marcell Ozuna has been in quite a slump of late, and this past week was no different. Ozuna collected one hit this past week for a .042 batting average. He struck out 30.8% of the time to go with a .199 OPS and -46 wRC+.

Ozuna still barreled the ball 18.8% of the time to go with a 56.3% hard-hit rate, leaving a glimmer of optimism for his fantasy managers. Ozuna is playing through an injury and will need to figure things out soon to stay in fantasy lineups.

Brenton Doyle (OF – COL)

Brenton Doyle’s recent struggles continued this past week. He had one hit over five games this past week for a .053 batting average. He struck out 25% of the time without a walk or a barrel on the week.

Doyle is now hitting .176 since May 1st with one home run. He has a .228 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), a 9.7% barrel rate and a 43% hard-hit rate, which suggests some improvements could be in store for Doyle. For now, he’s a bench bat with the hope he figures it out at the plate.

Willy Adames (SS – SF)

Willy Adames’ first season in the Bay continues to be forgettable. This past week, Adames went hitless over six games. He walked 17.4% of the time but struck out 34.8%. He had a measly 61.3% contact rate, accompanied by a 13.2% swinging strike rate.

Adames didn’t barrel the ball all week to go with an 18.2% hard-hit rate. I am holding out hope for Adames, but things are getting bleak for the Giants shortstop.

Corey Seager (SS – TEX)

Corey Seager has not looked good since coming off his recent injured list (IL) stint. This past week, Seager went hitless in five games without a run or an RBI. He walked 18.2% of the time, but also struck out 31.8% of the time, with a 63.8% contact rate and a poor 19.5% swinging strike rate.

Seager is now hitting .248 on the season with six home runs. Seager is constantly hurt, and his current production is not living up to the expectations of most fantasy managers.

Jackson Merrill (OF – SD)

Jackson Merrill has not been living up to his high expectations since returning from the IL. This past week, Merrill hit safely in four out of seven games, but it was four singles and a double for a .167 batting average.

Merrill only drove in one run while scoring three. He didn’t record any walks and struck out 40% of the time with a 20.8% swinging strike rate. Merrill is still hitting .304 on the season but only has five home runs and a steal, which is not living up to that early round average draft position (ADP).
