Fantasy Baseball Closer Rankings: Risers & Fallers (2025)

Welcome back to the latest edition of the Closer Report. We continue to roll further into June and another week into the regular season. We don’t have any major moves this week like the Alexis Diaz trade last week, so we don’t have any big changes in the chart this week besides Raisel Iglesias dropping, with it sounding like a committee in the Braves bullpen.

Closer News & Notes

Robert Suarez leads the MLB in saves with 20.

After not allowing an earned run in the first two months of the season, Andres Munoz blew back-to-back saves in the past week against the Twins. He still holds a strong 1.40 ERA on the season, but his next couple of appearances will be worth monitoring.

The Yankees placed Luke Weaver on the injured list (IL) with a left hamstring strain. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Devin Williams would do “most of the closing” while Weaver is on the injured list.

Braves beat reporter Mark Bowman noted that Raisel Iglesias may close games moving forward, but he won’t necessarily be the Braves’ primary closer. They recalled Craig Kimbrel from Triple-A this week.

Tanner Scott has struggled as of late in the Dodgers’ bullpen. It should return to a committee for saves with Kirby Yates expected to be activated from the injured list.
